A good balance for an entry into open source operating systems
What do you like best about the product?
When you mention Linux to a normal user, they are very easily intimidated mentioning how complicated it is to setup and use vs Windows operating systems. Ubuntu sets out to change all of that and has perfect balance between being user-friendly while still maintaining everything Linux stands for.
What do you dislike about the product?
The newer versions of Ubuntu are now relying on better graphics hardware. While it does look nice, I wish they would go for more lighter approach for the default editions, and if required a more fancy setup for those who have the hardware.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For small and medium business enterprises, software licensing costs can be a huge burden, especially in developing countries. Ubuntu allows you to explore the world of free and open source on a native level.

Ubuntu is perfect for who want to delve into Deeplearning development
What do you like best about the product?
Born GNU, command line tools a pretty perfect as well as the system's stability. Love the way the boot times are quite fast and 'apt' tools works seamsly. Defintively recommend it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike about it. The system runs with more pros than expected and since it is free, it deals with a perfect world of innovation, usability, estability and commodity.

Light, free, the development environment for everyone
What do you like best about the product?
Its UI has been made accessible and friendlier over the years with smooth transitions and feel thanks to GNOME. It is the most accessible and easiest environment to get into Linux with. The themes and customization options are quite broad. Its ISO and system load is lighter on the hardware than Windows flavors are and customization options are even broader by utilizing the BASH and CLIs. Many software tools have support for its distributions, so I can setup development SDKs of even lesser-known packages with more ease than I can on Windows or MacOS.
What do you dislike about the product?
The CLI and the overall reliance on Bash commands and modules to fix certain things about your OS, from drivers to orientation to UI, make things more compicated than Windows. Despite its UI offering a lot more than it used to, the settings are still limited in what you see compared to what you don't know you can do with the terminal. When I install packages, using apt or apt-get, it can be hard to completely remove them when dependencies get installed. I need to scrutinize what other packages got shipped with it that were not removed because the system still thinks I need them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All my development work is done on Ubuntu, because most software tools contain installation instructions tailored to Ubuntu (that they might not for even MacOS or Windows). The UI also distracts me a lot less as compared to Windows. There are some packages that work only on a Linux-based environment, and there are less complications in setting them up here than on Kali or Bodhi Linux. It also comes with several commonly-used packages on its install, like gcc, git and openssl, hence, every time I do a fresh installation, I do not have to set these up myself.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Ubuntu software centre is not most stable app. It has crashed multiple times when installing a big app like Google chrome. This can be improved, and I think that's the most irritating feature.

It provides me the open source OS, that is compatible to most hardware, and has inbuilt or web available drivers. All in all provides a great bridge between Windows and Linux.
