The Most Used Debian-based Distribution in the World
What do you like best about the product?
The default repositories, which are full of packages of all sorts and kinds, also the fact that is one of the most easy-to-use Linux Distributions available all over the internet. It has lots of Long Time Support (LTS) versions, for the ones who do not like to keep updating your Kernel all the time. Full of features, Ubuntu brings in as a free, resilient distribution that anyone can use, knowing terminal commands or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, the APT (Advanced Package Tool), the default Ubuntu package manager, is not the ideal app manager: it is not fast, its syntax is too long for doing simple updates or installations and it's not good for dealing with external repositories. For Ubuntu is made on principles of ease of use and accessibility, it is not an clean distribution, from factory, Ubuntu brings in lots of tools and gadgets that are not exactly necessary, specially if you are an regular Linux user or developer, Ubuntu could have an minimal version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We replaced Windows system in our crowld's Desktops using Ubuntu. As our employees are
accustomed with Windows interface, we used Ubuntu with Deepin as display manager, they almost didn't noticed a big difference, and for us, we saved 38 Windows licenses, which are not exactly cheap.

If you need an easy-to-use Linux OS, and like to have lots of gadgets pre-installed on your system, also if you're not a regular Linux user or do not use at all and need it now, you found an almost perfect solution.
A powerful operating system not for everyone
What do you like best about the product?
Gives total control of the operating system. You can change whatever you want and make it configurable. It can be also used to monitor Network traffic and get full control over it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Isaac has Advance it can be tough for no voice users to understand and they can easily break things which can go out of hand. Also it lacks UI experience and not that pleasing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a developer so I primarily use it for development and also for network monitoring. At my work I use it for AWS instance handling and spend most of my time with the terminal.
Software developer
What do you like best about the product?
It's seamless integration with all the machine learning libraries and the best part is it's wide range of customization options
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's prone to errors and error handling is a bit poor. It's difficult to zero in on the actual error whether it's an OS problem or something with what I'm doing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make the GUI better and also try to know the complications before installing
It's Honda of Linux distros
What do you like best about the product?
Abundant availablility of packages and latest updates. Since based on Debian, packages are really easy to find. Especially the obscure command line stuff are all in the repository.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have couple Redhat servers and serveral Ubuntu servers and it just seems to kernel panic more than the Redhat servers. So stability seems to be an issue from time to time. It could be hardware compability though...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting webservers, NAS, and ssh and firewalls.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There's no real barrier to entry especially since it's free and there's whole lot of community support. From beginners to experts. Since it's based on debian, all the userbase there can help out as well.
Implementation on the Ubuntu environment
What do you like best about the product?
A system for both behavior and mock coding, and for behavior, ideal for programming and the actions you wish to perform, is another factor that matters to you: the transaction manager, it is very easy to set up software from already configured repositories or to download a brand new repository and install it from there. It works quite well all the time I want to work, even Steam has a lot of AAA games running on it now.
What do you dislike about the product?
But it is worth investing many times to gain the essential ease needed to perform administrative tasks at record speed - Upgrades might damage the machine
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem with ADB cellular devices, flash custom snapshots on Android gadgets. I easily executed commands in third anniversary celebration terminal apps and installed them. Additionally, while checking the overall performance of our server, we use hardware primarily based on Ubuntu.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure also that your applications run on Ubuntu and are organized in a way that allows restoration while an update specifically intended to replace the kernel breaks them. It would be really useful to improve the visible aspect of a piece. A tremendous development has been made, but it is essential to improve the device environment, as the gadget is intended for programmers, it can be difficult to manage for unskilled users. Unusual person, but it has progressed a lot. With each new replacement.
Power without limits
What do you like best about the product?
- I liked it. Ubuntu reminded me of the Mac user interface. The package management system dpkg or apt of Ubuntu Server is faster than competing solutions. It's easy to get solutions to various difficult problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
- GUI software continues to grow, I would say that Ubuntu today is mature enough, but for some it may still be a bit unstable. There could be greater support for more specific or specialized applications for people who work in a specific field (like architects, for example).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Saving a lot thanks to this. In our organization, we started switching from Windows and chose Ubuntu, which didn't make much difference for the users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
- However, it is possible that you may not get all the software that you get on another OS, such as software specific to architects or fields of this style as mentioned earlier, although most of the time you will always have Open Source and free alternatives.

It is easy to use and has a straight forward UI. I also prefer the debian package manager.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app store built in often causes problems. A lot of apps are not listed and if it is listed it may not be exactly what you are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Development machine and servers. Running docker for development environments.
A refreshing trade!
What do you like best about the product?
Unlike Windows, this operating system is not gradual over time and the control of procedures could be very efficient, consequently the PC works smoothly. Ubuntu is that operating system. Ubuntu is the main choice for any stage of development from beginner to professional. Anyone can be confident using this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Problems with Samba connectivity. But it's worth investing a lot of time to achieve the important ease of carrying out administrative responsibilities with maximum speed. If you are dual-booting, grub kind of replaces the MBR unless you are being careful and doing it the hard way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu is like the tool for creating other equipment that we use to test a low-cost denial-of-service assault tool. It is better for humans working in academia.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it if you are looking to work with IT, not for regular use anymore, it is tough and not friendly in any way, but if you are used to the era, you won't find any more problems. I guess you might not regret it. Spin it up and try it.
