Powerful and Intuitive Analytics Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that linking data connections and creating custom dashboards is so easy. Most analytic software packages take quite a while to figure out, while Qlik Sense took less than 2-3 hours to feel some type of mastery over the dashboard creation.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still limitations with some of the mapping (i.e. no way to show 'flow' maps between an origin and destination), but overall the software provides ample capability for most graphical/visual needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Qlik Sense helps speed the analytics refresh time. Instead of spending hours manipulating Excel dashboards, with a good data connection you can breeze through reporting updates in no time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We looked at many other software packages and Qlik's was the most robust. It's a great all-around analytics and data connection deal than others currently on the market. It doesn't do everything, but for those that need something open ended, consider Qlik.

What do you like best about the product?
Qliksense is so well developed and less expensive than tableau.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it's still limited in the amount of visualization options prepopulated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with dashboards and reports. Helps external users reach quick insights.

Ability to manipulate large amounts of data easily and provide helpful views to understand trend and analysis

The training is very limited to those who are understanding of simple coding
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reviewing data bases to see errors and trends, I’m looking to see total numbers of volume for a month to date and year to date for specific areas and tying different pieces of information together to provide answers
So easy to forecast and track sales
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can drill down on specifics of accounts in multiple ways i’m forecast sales for the future based on history

I wish it was more mobile friendly, currently it’s difficult to try to load information on a phone or tablet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to forecast sales based on specific products, categories, historical data… As well as keeping track of opportunities in a pipeline. I’ll see is it to drill down on specific products that my customers are ordering
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can’t change any information in here, it’s a view only type of feature, so it’s a great way to give access to multiple people within a company so that all departments and colleagues can view the same information

Very quick and easy to build dashboards. Also easy to use and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data model can be quite limiting or requires a lot of workarounds, although does lead to a very fast application.

Almost all of our business reporting is now done through Qlik Sense, covering areas from sales through to ops and QC.

Get a trial and give it a go!
Qlikview is a great organizational tool but sometimes a little slow

Dhasboards are a great organizational tool for keeping track of programs and budgets, with both qualitative and quantitative attributes. The graphics are very useful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Qlikview can occasionally be a bit slow when loading dashboards, with very little indication as to whether it is "loading" or just frozen.

Solving organization problems in the business and keeping track of order, requisitions, and budgets on a streamlined platform.

While I did not generate any dashboards in Qlikview, as a user of customized dashboards others have built I found it to worked very well

I was not a heavy enough user to dislike anything really - it worked well all the time for me

What do you like best about the product?
We enjoy the flexibility of the ability to combine data sources, giving the users power to create complex reports without relying on the IT department. The dashboards - when programmed correctly make it easy to see information at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is a big factor for us. At a cost of around £800 per named licence its not cheap.
And the server needs a lot of RAM allocated and thus eats a lot of resource on the VM host

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Qlikview is a powerful BI tool - We use to generate multiple reports. Our daily reports get generated overnight and emailed to the intended recipients ready for use each weekday morning.
We also publish reports via MI that allow our customers to pick predefined reports from our data to help us better work together
