Many good technologies under one roof
What do you like best about the product?
A very good blend between SQL, NoSQL, Lucene, Vector, timeseries DB etc all under one roof. Performance is also fenomenal and it supports ANSI SQL
What do you dislike about the product?
of course there are a few compromises when trying to use such a broad spectrum of technologies, but they are pretty minor when copared to the advantages
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it i mainly as a time series database for near real-time analytics and there is a bunch of other applications connecting through it via SQL. Migration was very easy as integration with other applications was done through SQL so this was pretty much lift and shift from one DB to another but way more performant and enabling many more use cases. (not just SQL)

Great demo!
What do you like best about the product?
CrateDB showcased their product in different usecases, their SQL queries are very advanced and can solve many problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of using CrateDB is the same downside as another other piece of software, they have unique functionality that can't be changed fast if needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CrateDB is a potential db for a RAG system in production.
A capable solution to consolidate your diverse data sources and fulfill analytics needs
What do you like best about the product?
It is scalable, flexible and fast. Its many capabilites makes it able to adapt to different company needs. There are options for different deployment setups (on premise, cloud, and in between)
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any tool, there are some aspects that only reveal themselves once you deep dive into the product. (But the company has e-learning options and qualified expert so I would not worry too much.)
I only had the opportunity to try CrateDB with a limited scope of time series data and text analysis using large language models. It would be exciting to see how it handles "live" deployment in a complex architecture and diverse business need.

What do you dislike about the product?
Stored Procedures can be added.
Running different queries inside the console without commenting the other queries is not possible right now.

Timeseries Data, Multi Model Support.
Positive Demo Experience
What do you like best about the product?
I recently explored CrateDB in a demo project, and I must say, my experience was positive. Despite the limited scope of my usage, CrateDB performed well across various scenarios.
CrateDB's variety of supporting use cases stands out. One can use SQL to handle all of them. In our project, we tested it with relational data, timeseries data and geospatial data. We also tested the search capabilities. In each scenario, CrateDB performed well. During our primitive load testing, it efficiently managed substantial loads without any significant issues, displaying its robust architecture and scalability.

What do you dislike about the product?
As of now, I don't have any dislikes regarding CrateDB. However, it is important to mention that my experience was limited to a demo project, and I haven't tested it in a production environment. Further usage and testing would be necessary to draw conclusions about its capabilities over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CrateDB shows great potential for projects with diverse database requirements, making it a good candidate for future use when dealing with various use cases and different database needs.
The boss of Dynamic Migration - CrateDB
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like the best about CrateDB is the usage of the "Dynamic column" option which makes it eaiser to implemenent the dynamic column import. While creating table for my data this option helped me to migrate all the columns from excel to database without any declaration of each and every column. I also loved the design of the Admin UI which has an option to query single table data with "just a click of a button".
Furthermore, the experience of Customer Support was also based on one on one meeting with the technical manager, which helped me a lot in solving technical difficulties more precisely.
There are multiple python libraries out there which supports the integration of the crateDB with my script.
Finally, I use this product daily and for data pipelining, and I would like to recommend this product to all the people out there.
Just try it once!

What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing so far to dislike about CrateDB.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During table creation, the issue of declaring columns with data type for each and every excel column is eliminated. It saves me a lot of time and helps me to use my time more towards productivity.
Excellent DB providing high performances and high availbility
What do you like best about the product?
Fault-Tolerant, Scaling, Ease of setup & maintenance. Can run with low-memory footprint.
What do you dislike about the product?
not much to say here ... I've been using the product for 8 years
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing my IOT sensors data as well as all the information that's required to make my customer facing front-end portal working.
Great power in vector databases
What do you like best about the product?
1.- High performance and scalability for processing large amounts of real-time data
2.- Native integration with SQL, which simplifies complex queries and advanced analysis
3.- Geospatial indexing and similarity search

What do you dislike about the product?
Less support and documentation compared to more popular solutions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With CrateDB I can scale how much real-time data I work with and query using vector databases and vector similarity search. I can actually take something random like a vector, and know what’s the closest vector to it [the k-nearest neighbours (kNN) algorithm], and could be mostly correct and deliver a good prediction forfinding a good match with high velocity. So, by more or less just me code into ETLs and machine learning, you will increase the prediction powers of these processes and improve performance. This is really good and now I can address different complex questions for my data products in a fast and accurate manner
User friendly
What do you like best about the product?
The CrateDB team can be very helpful in the initial onboarding phase.
The Console is user-friendly.
CrateDB documentation is also intuitive.
