User-friendly and easy to manage but needs improvement in the throughput area

What is most valuable?
The solution's most valuable feature stems from its ability to protect our organization's web servers.
What needs improvement?
In Sophos XG, the throughput for larger networks is an area of concern where improvements are required.
I hope the product comes up with some better prices and offers for the tools provided to academic institutions.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Sophos XG for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Stability-wise, I rate the solution a six out of ten.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.
There are around 200 to 300 users in our institution.
Though our institution plans to increase the solution's use, we are unsure about the vendor we want to approach.
How was the initial setup?
I rate the product's initial setup phase a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one means it is a difficult process and ten means it has an easy setup phase.
The solution is deployed on an on-premises model.
The solution can be deployed in two to three days.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is expensive.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
My company considers Fortinet as an option against Sophos XG.
What other advice do I have?
The product has improved network security for all the networks in my organization. The product also offers endpoint security since my organization has been using the anti-virus software from Sophos for the past ten years.
Sophos XG's interface is very user-friendly.
The performance of Sophos XG's VPN to meet the organization's remote access needs is an area that cannot be discussed due to security concerns. Though the product can meet our organization's current requirements, we are considering alternate solutions since we have plans to improve our network.
The reporting and analytics functionalities helped identify security incidents in our company.
I recommend the product to those who plan to use it because it is easy to manage and solve network-related problems.
I rate the product a seven out of ten.
Sophos Firewall is truly exceptional
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the ease of administration, the UI is user friendly and the central management is exceptional to carry day to day admin tasks. Sophos Firewall comes with very comprehensive features from connectivity to security.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing that I dislike about Sophos Firewall. But if I may request for the feature I would be looking at Virtual instances. I however know it is in their roadmap.

What do you like best about the product?
We havee been using this product from quite a while now, and based our user experiance this is the most simplest of products to use. Smooth deployment/implementation experiance and robust feature set as per our network needs. Technical Support is much responsive as compared to various vendors and is quite effective. ZTNA integration launched recently is also an amazing feature to have.
What do you dislike about the product?
We coluld have 3rd party integration for threat feeds which is missing as of now in the product.

We are using is as in Internal Segmentation firewall and we needed robust routing capabilties to start with .
SDWAN funtionsality in Sophos Firewall helped to avhive the same with undelying effective SLA capabilties is helping us the much needed zero inmpact transitions.
User level authentication with built in MFA capabiltiy using 3rd part MFA agents likegoogle authenticator,microsoft autheticator - is helping us secure the user layer.

Simple and robust firewall
What do you like best about the product?
-Simple GUI
-Inbuilt support for VPN
-Easy to create rules for custom routing
-Great reporting dashboard
-It also has web api which makes it easy to control forewall remotly.
-We can also have multiple ISPs and create routing based on that

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use SophosXG Firewall for routing traffic across multiple VLANs, multiple ISPs, content filtering and blocking certain inbound traffic. It works very well. Given that Sophos firewall is the first line of defense as it helps us with keeping unwanted traffic away of the network and protect our network resources.

What is Like Most About Sophos Firewall is it protects you from wide range of cyber threats, including malware, ransomware, phishing attempts, and other malicious activities.

What do you like best about the product?
I am working on different firewalls including Sophos Firewalls (Sophos) is the easiest and cheapest compared to other leading firewalls. A leader in Gartner's, it delivers its intention as an NGFW with a built-in SDWAN feature/dual antivirus/synchronized security/ Sophos central as very easy to manage centrally.
I love the GUI and detection and visibility of reach security capabilities that Sophos Firewall has. The wide range of product portfolio integration makes Sophos Firewall the most powerful in the security era.

What do you dislike about the product?
I was troubleshooting the HA issue and resolved it gracefully but found a reboot frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos Firewall provides a wide range of gateways and internal security features as compared to other very cheapest prices.

We can easily install and configure firewall and restrict un-used website & block outside traffic. Sometime it's very difficult to upgrade firmware version.
Overall, We can Create the user based policy for required internet, web access etc. We can create the VPN for access the Onprem network from outside the user. It can get the email notfication if any IPS down for UP. We can also blocked the application and URL as per company policy.

1. Liked very much monitor function it includes all adminstrator requirements such as Routing, DHCP, Loadbalance, IPsec, SSL VPN, SDWAN and Firewall users, Intrusion prevention and so on.
2. Configuration and report generation is easy and GUI sophos dashboard looks nice and handy customization.
3. Allows both Remote access vpn and site to site vpn this types provide more security to use public IPs anywhare in the world.
