What do you dislike about the product?
I have used 2 source code repos, Gitlab and Github. I really like both but I would say if you want to work with UI github will score better compared to Gitlab, also Github's co-pilot is amazing which is currently missing from Gitlab (as per my knowledge)

What needs improvement?
The documentation is confusing. Sometimes, it is incomplete or has incorrect information. I have informed the vendor about it. Some features in the GitLab Community Edition are not available to us.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for nine months. My organization has been using it for around two years. We are using the latest version of the solution.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I rate the tool’s stability a ten out of ten. We never faced any downtime.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I rate the scalability of GitLab Community Edition a seven or eight out of ten. The product could improve the scalability of GitLab Community Edition. Around 60 people are using the product in our organization.
How are customer service and support?
Their support is good.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is easier for someone who knows Linux and has been working as a system administrator. We need to have experience to deploy the solution. It takes around three to four hours to deploy the solution.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We are using the open-source version, anyone can download it.
What other advice do I have?
I am my company’s GitLab administrator. Many features we need are available in Enterprise Edition. If we say that we do not have enough features in GitLab Community Edition, GitLab might just ask us to upgrade to Enterprise Edition. Overall, I rate the product a nine out of ten.

not much. It's more enterprise friendly and I like that

Code review, CI/CD pipelines and also deployment through AWS. Helps in automating the later processes.
Good software for code collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Easy collaboration with colleagues and version control present so it is easy to keep track of changes with different branches. It is better than competitors in a way that for private repos, we get bettwr control features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is slower than Github when working with larger repositories and also is not very intuitive to get started with. To improve, it should go for a more beginner friendly approach.

Gitlab helps us to complete our projects at a faster rate and it works very well as we can keep track of all changes without breaking the production code. Performance is good.
It's a good experience, we are using many fetaures of gitlab like ci/cd, version control etc

The best part is Gitlab Ci/Cd, we have very complex process for the while process bur with Gitlab pipelines most of the part is automated, and all the verification and deployment us handled by it.

Didn't got any negative points till now, it's a great experience.

From the dev testing to the end to end testing, all are configured and automated by using gitlab pipelines.

What do you like best about the product?
It has very good Issue management, bug tracking and boards. Software innovation is made possible by the GitLab DevSecOps platform, which aims to enable development, security, and operations teams to produce better software more quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
When pushing or extracting source codes, speed is slower than on Github. In addition, the price is more than for the competing products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very good solution for bug tracking and hence saves time. It allows all team members to collaborate in every phase of the project.

It has great UI, code review is easy , it has mobile friendly app. Projects management is easy.

I think its hard to automate using command line tools, UI is easy. Nothing or dislike as such.

We use gitlab to host all of our code. We have CI CD pipelines running in gitlab.

What do you like best about the product?
GitLab has great UI, easy to use, GitLab helps to manage projects easily, easy to review code, GitLab API is easy to use in your project. It also has great community to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
GitLab is little tough to integrate from command prompt on windows or mac. I can't find any other defects or bugs in this software.
