What do you like best about the product?
Gutlab allows to create repositories public and private. We can manage projects with teams of developers. Gitlab also allows us to create CI/CD integration with most of all the services.
You can run pipelines for repositories. Setup run time environment variables for the pipelines

What do you dislike about the product?
Earlier it is not available for free but now it's available for individual developer. Compare to GitHub and bitbucket it is costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used this in my previous company. Role and permission is awesome in gitlab. We can manage developer and other users profiles.

What do you like best about the product?
GitLab is a fantastic tool that fundamentally changes how Development, Security, and Ops teams collaborate and build software.

What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is excellent and very well built. Therefore, there is nothing that I currently dislike about it. However, a little bit of upgrade to the UI to make it more modern could be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab helps us maintain our tasks and run CI/CD very easily. We can just create a yml file and upload it to the project folder to create the pipelines. It saves us a lot of time compared to other platforms.

it provides a vast repository on web based devOps.It aslo provides issuetracking on CI/CD pipeline features by using an open sourse lisence,you can createatask list within an issue description in gitlab,to further identify those indiviusal tasks

It is hard to test CI build locally,its interphase may be somewhat slower than the competetion,It lacks some features,and sometimes the menus are really confusing and hard to navigate,There hve been some occasional crashes too when you need to reach that stage first before displaying the error

Gitlab is an excellent tool to deliver artifacts fast and efficient of software
What do you like best about the product?
You can have repository updates working with the team and create different pipelines with different brahavior and keep the environment updated fast and efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
A the moment, I can't complain about the tools because I have used GitLab for a long time, around two years and a half, and it has the necessary to cover DevOps tasks need it. We created such 6 or 7 pipelines and are working on running parallel after building the app, and this is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DevOps tasks, secure deployment paraller, consistency, you can manage the user to push a central repository, easy to create the pipeline using YAML file, the on-premise version easy to setup.

Great tool for code management
What do you like best about the product?
The stash option which helps to save the changes to a local repo is the good option
What do you dislike about the product?
If we accidentally delete the stashed changes it is very difficult to retrieve them back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used it to maintain our entire project source in one place easily and efficiently.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is one of the awesome tools, I don't have any recommendations for now. one thing I would recommend is to make the option available for retrieving the items which are accidentally deleted.

What do you like best about the product?
It handles everyday development-related tasks in a fast and reliable way - creating pull requests, viewing history, performing code reviews, continuous integration etc. Also it has built in bug tracker tho we're using an external one.
What do you dislike about the product?
The huge files in diff might slow the browser to death

We're used gitlab as a code hosting platform and it handles all regular day-to-day tasks pretty well

Service unavailability at sometimes, other then that everything works seamless

Continues Integration and continuous development, versioning of the code, Team collobaration for code, build minimum vibal projects etc.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about gitlab is that it is an open-source community edition repository management platform. It is easy to manage repositories and push code into GitLab, and clone a repository, user permission, and branch protection are enhanced.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has certain bugs which should be improved,user experience should be improved.It is difficult to manage code reviews for the first timers who are using gitlab for the first time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using GitLab to put my project in a branch so that all team members can access the project from the central repository. If any changes are done by any member that will be visible to all members, I can easily clone the project and push the project into the repository

What do you like best about the product?
We utilize GitLab for source code management and CI/CD. With GitLab we were able to automate our development workflow and Test Case Automation strategy; we can easily deploy and build to our dev and production environments. GitLab is very user-friendly and has a great UI, which makes it easy to manage our code from the web or our IDE.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I face issues with third party apps like jira.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am managing my CI/CD for my automation test suite, can also do it via Jenkins, but Gitlab is so user friendly it makes it much more easier.
