Tool for version controlling
What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab is open-source, so it is good. Second, it has integration with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins. We can also create our own Gitlab pipeline. I love its User Interface and its badges. It is a very smooth version controlling software available in the market.

Many times the customizable blocks become complicated and become hard to remove. The Gitlab web hook is not much user-friendly as it is challenging to configure. The Gitlab command Line is not very easily usable as it is not elaborated in its functionalities.

Industry Standard
What do you like best about the product?
Unlimited repository branching allows development flexibility. It is also an industry standard and common among many companies and development teams. It goes well with many code language bases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Minimum development tracking makes retrospective baseline and release reference difficult. It is not easy to make a freeze-frame of the code base to save for later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Code base repositories allow us to develop continuously and create separate branches for different permutations of the software baseline. Many different versions of the same software are created.
