Great CI/CD platform
What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab runners extenteds the standard git platform with a great platform for CI/CD implementations. It has easy to provision CI runners for you needs and the defenitions of pipelines and integrations are easy and very straight forward making it a must have platform. The built in repository is also great and easy to implement making it great for daily use and even scheduled tasks can be done in the CI.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could be better it seems like it's constantly changing for the worse hopefully the better in the long time but it's not only on Gitlab it seems it's wider problem with others adapting the same layout which I find very confusing at this moment and harder to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab provides as the man git platform for version control and much more such as container and package registry, extensive easy to use CI/CD platform and other standard features such as code reviews.

Top-notch Git web platform: a versatile tool for your company
What do you like best about the product?
Personally, I love GitLab CI. It's highly flexible and enables me to configure complex CI/CD pipelines. If you have sufficient funds, it can meet all your developers' needs (MR approvals, Docker Registry, Mermaid support, etc.), although it can be quite expensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of premium features is quite high. Additionally, I require a more flexible method to manually execute certain pipelines. Please provide an interface for initiating jobs with desired parameters, similar to Jenkins.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize it to build CI/CD pipelines, which involve running tests, linters, and releasing new versions of our applications. Additionally, we employ it for running deployment pipelines, which utilize Ansible scripts.

Its complexity can be overwhelming for small projects.

What do you like best about the product?
Gitlap gives a self-hosting option and is effective at organizing code versions and tracking changes. It also enables collaboration among team members. CLI is simple to use, and it's simple to automate push/pull with GitLab. Easy integration with Jenkin servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
friendly Navigation and search need to improve. There is no documentation for GitLab, and it is challenging to troubleshoot

It provides a self-management option, and we can host GitLab in our own environment in the private network. version control.

Large-scale projects with numerous repositories and extensive CI/CD pipelines may require significant hardware resources, particularly for self-hosted instances. This can lead to higher infrastructure costs for organizations managing complex projects.

GitLab addresses challenges related to development workflow efficiency, CI/CD automation, code quality, agile collaboration, and cost-effective DevOps solutions.
A Powerful and Collaborative Development Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab uses git which is a very powerful version control system and gitlab provides support for all branching, merging branches etc. It also allows multiple users to work together on a project and also has a feature of displaying a graph with lines showing contributions of different users and branches.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I disliked was the complex interface. It was a bit difficult to understand about how to use the platform at first. there were many features whose purpose was unknown to me .

GitLab provides a platform that has version control and issue tracking as well as project management with collaboration. This eliminates the need for teams to manage multiple tools separately and simplifies the integration and coordination of different stages of the development workflow and also to track issues as a team without confusion.

What do you like best about the product?
That provides us with code management, issue tracker, code review option, containers, and a lot more which has made our task easy. And even allows functioning with cloud platforms. So it is a good product

It was quite complex for me as a beginner, User interface should improve from time to time, it's not that good as per the demand, and paid support assistance is not a good thing in my suggestions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
That it provides good DevOps platforms with various features, plus helps to track bugs in the code, and helps the team to connect on the same project and work together so the task is achieved properly.
Good CICD tool for making pipelines automation
What do you like best about the product?
As a data eningeer,data pipelines needs to be updated without stoping servers and deploying manually.Gitlab is the first platform that used by us in team for CI-CD functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the features are up to date and worked fines. Quick updates made the pipelines little slow sometimes.Overall good experience while deployment and implementation of any type of pipelines.

It is an open source git repository linked with CICD functions for Orchestration purpose. This tool made the work simple for developers and devops person to deploy pipelines quickly and correctly.

When working with more oversized products, it gives issues.

It is an open-source and free-ware application, so it is easy to use and get the code developed and reviewed easily. The code/data is secured.

What do you like best about the product?
The part where the entire DevOps lifecycle is covered by the comprehensive tool and feature set offered by GitLab is the best. My teams may combine their modifications made by different groups working on other features, or bug fixes thanks to Gitlab. It also has features like code reviews, issue tracking, and merge requests.

The problem with GitLab is that Users unfamiliar with version control or choosing a more straightforward platform may find GitLab complicated. It may not be easy to use and navigate due to the abundance of features and settings. When working with huge codes and programs, performance problems can occasionally cause slower load times, sluggish navigation, and other performance-related issues.

It supports us with the support of GitLab's extensive collection of collaboration tools, such as issue tracking, code review, and wiki; teams can communicate and cooperate more successfully with each other increasing productivity and efficiency, which ultimately helps in on-time project completions.
