Amazing Product... for power users

  • June 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think Datadog is a must if you want to make sure that your product is performant and reliable. The fact that we can find and fix bugs before our users ever interact with our users is such a crazy advantage. The amount of helpful data that datadog provides with little to no setup is amazing. The team has built a great product and I am looking forward to upcoming features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one disadvantage that Datadog has is that is very much built for power users. Terms like APM and RUM are so niche and difficult for new users to understand that datadog themselves had to build a whole learning/certification system in order to get people up and running in their system.
If Datadog wants to target users that are not engineers or data scientists - I believe that they will have to start rethinking their product from a UX/UI point of view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us better understand how our separate systems work together and how they can be improved to help our users.

Datadog is an essential tool for any tech team

  • June 26, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Datadog's products integrate seamlessly both with each other and with our other vendors giving us a centralized view of all of the metrics we need to monitor and improve our software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside is cost. Datadog is the industry leader and they know it! Custom metrics pricing should be revisted as it can escalate very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a central place for our observability data across operations, security, and cloud costs.

What do you like best about the product?
So many integrations all in one place, Datadog allows you to see everything and anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is a bit hard to take, since you have to convice those with pursestrings that it is about value and not cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides confidence that I'm seeing the full picture.
