Sisense Growth and Partnership
What do you like best about the product?
I've worked with Sisense for over 5 years. The growth in features in response to client requests has continued to expand the capabilities of Sisense. The APIs have been extremely helpful to our teams as well so that we can automate security, shares, and even dashboard creation. Though the switch to live cubes has been difficult and complicated, I love that they are all in on their support of it. They have also been good partners as we have worked through various large migration projects over the years.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though the gaps between Sisense and some of the industry dominators are diminishing, there are still a number of nice to have features that have not made it into Sisense yet. Date management and emta data for instance still requires creating a dates table with direct links in the model where some others have allowed for more general date tables that can be shared across date fields or are maintained in the platform itself. Everything is very deliberate and intentional in the setup of Sisense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense provides us with the ability to get our management teams on the same page about the state of our business and the industry. It also allows us to create sales opportunity to pass on those and other insights to our clients through shared models build across our clients and consolidated to individual clients.
Great tool for embedded analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is relatively easy to use if you are familiar with data visualization. It has a ton of flexibility and the team is really responsive to support requests. Our CSM meets with us once a month to make sure that everything working well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sisense is pretty expensive compared to some other alternatives. Our contract quote tripled from the previous contract terms, which makes it hard when it's a similar cost to a senior developer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sisense to display dashboards to our customers.
A great tool with remarkable basic gaps
What do you like best about the product?
It has a wide range of visualisations, as well as multiple tools in one place, allowing not just one tool but providing a whole ecosystem. It also has a wide range of integrations that allow for greater customisation of the product and the implementation to an existing app is easily done.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest difficulty is its use, I feel that it takes a considerable amount of time to understand how to perform certain operations that in other BI platforms are quite simple such as the creation of certain graphs. I also feel that there are many basic features that are not counted that other tools have had for a long time, on the other hand, the documentation that is available is outdated for the case of developers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to model, store and display data to our users.
Extremely fast and accurate!
What do you like best about the product?
Easily it's the speed on how quickly it runs. My previous report software would take ages to run, especially if i was asking for several years of data. Sisense is my far the fastest report model I have ever used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say when I have to drill into a revenue category to grab all the Gift IDs it will sometime time out because there's just too much data that it's trying to generate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes my job easier since I can setup subscriptions that will run weekly for my management. It saves me ton of time from having to run the reports manually.
Powerful Customization, Insightful Dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
I find Sisense's ability to easily create dashboards and widgets to be a huge benefit. This feature allows me to slice and filter widgets to dive deeper into areas of interest for leadership. I particularly appreciate the drill down capabilities, as they are incredibly helpful in exploring data layers. The customization options, especially through dashboard and widget scripts, have made a significant impact on how our data is presented and highlighted. For instance, using widget scripts to tailor the look and feel of widgets ensures they meet specific visual requirements. Additionally, I created a dashboard script that effectively displays the date filter in the widget title for our embedded dashboards, which conveniently allows users to see the date range at a glance without having to scroll back. Overall, these features significantly enhance our ability to gain deeper insights from our data and have been vital in making our data visualization more effective and user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the query builder in Sisense lacking in some areas, such as the ability to run multiple queries simultaneously. This limitation forces me to toggle between browser windows when I need to compare queries, which is inconvenient. It would be much more efficient if I could view comparison queries in the same window, similar to how SQL Server operates. Additionally, the error messages in the query builder can be too vague, especially when dealing with nested queries, making troubleshooting more difficult than it needs to be. These issues hinder my workflow and create unnecessary complexity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sisense to gain deeper insights into our data, track trends, and identify potential issues early. It helps streamline dashboard creation and customization, enabling us to present data effectively and keep leadership informed.
Can do more with Sisense
What do you like best about the product?
It is much more easier to integrate third-party data sources. Also, dashboard is much more customizable compared to PowerBI.
What do you dislike about the product?
The chatbot Teams app for Sisense needs more work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More insight into our customer data.
Great cloud solution
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is a great cloud solution for manipulating data and visualizing data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could use more advanced SQL queries in the cloud solution. The default queries available in Sisense don't always allow us to manipulate the data in the way we'd like. This causes my team to think of workaround solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense is our business intelligence tool. We are able to connect data from multiple tools and systems in our org and analyze that data all in one place.
Sisense: The Innovation
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that the tool is easy to use and has an intergrated functionality to use notebook and also the support for the tool is just about right.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the tool acts crazy and some functionalaties do not operate as smooth. But after clearing cache the functionalities start working just alright. This is csometimes a pain.

Sinsense is being used to drive insights based on data analytics and BI reporting.
Good solution, lots of features
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is an easy to use platform with a good deal of functionality that you can add. They continue to release new features and technology to improve the solution. Customer support is always reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes new features are cost prohibitive. Push from Sisense to move to cloud offering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sisense to aggregate disparate data and create visibility into how our organization functions at multiple levels.
Extremely easy to use and integrate
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense has lots of functionality that i like, but the one that stands out is the ease of integration into our CRM systems, the ease of loading widgets into our CRM screens so customers can see real time reports on the information that is relevant to them
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the lack of AI functionality currently but i think thats more of an improvement than a dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving functionality thatt we do not have out of the box, with the flexibility on creating your own syle of widgets using HTML we can fulfil customers needs by creating widgets to do the job. Its also great to have access to real time data for specific data on pages that the CSRs are using. For example customer billing data being on the customers account where we can use raw data from our database to visually help the customers see the information.
