Using data queries to provide custom dashboards for given queries
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of data can be combined into small "serving size" bits that are easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of data had a negative impact on performance.

Allowing to seamlessly combine big amounts of data and serve an easy to understand solution.
Powerful Customization, Insightful Dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
I find Sisense's ability to easily create dashboards and widgets to be a huge benefit. This feature allows me to slice and filter widgets to dive deeper into areas of interest for leadership. I particularly appreciate the drill down capabilities, as they are incredibly helpful in exploring data layers. The customization options, especially through dashboard and widget scripts, have made a significant impact on how our data is presented and highlighted. For instance, using widget scripts to tailor the look and feel of widgets ensures they meet specific visual requirements. Additionally, I created a dashboard script that effectively displays the date filter in the widget title for our embedded dashboards, which conveniently allows users to see the date range at a glance without having to scroll back. Overall, these features significantly enhance our ability to gain deeper insights from our data and have been vital in making our data visualization more effective and user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the query builder in Sisense lacking in some areas, such as the ability to run multiple queries simultaneously. This limitation forces me to toggle between browser windows when I need to compare queries, which is inconvenient. It would be much more efficient if I could view comparison queries in the same window, similar to how SQL Server operates. Additionally, the error messages in the query builder can be too vague, especially when dealing with nested queries, making troubleshooting more difficult than it needs to be. These issues hinder my workflow and create unnecessary complexity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sisense to gain deeper insights into our data, track trends, and identify potential issues early. It helps streamline dashboard creation and customization, enabling us to present data effectively and keep leadership informed.
Decent BI platform if you don't write scripts to customize dashboards or you don't need CI/CD

- Quick to learn for dashboard designers and general users
- Easy to implement dashboards and share with user groups
- Easy to integrate with databases and it is seamless with Snowflake- Lots of chart types to select from
- Continues to innovate such as automatic analysis and Git integration and Gen AI feature

What do you dislike about the product?
- Not too visually appealing
- Buggy when we use scripts, especially during new releases. This is a double edged sword for Sisense in my opinion
- We had incidents when customer support resolved the cases incorrectly and put our operations at risk
- Support for CI/CD is like an afterthought as we are still struggling through this

Sisense is meant to be our enterprise solution to empower employees and executives to make data driven decisions and to make sharing of reports easy

It is much more easier to integrate third-party data sources. Also, dashboard is much more customizable compared to PowerBI.
What do you dislike about the product?
The chatbot Teams app for Sisense needs more work.

- we've seen a banner error on our account for a while now which we've been told to ignore but hasn't been fixed

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nexus for viewing and sharing insights into our data warehouse. Our stakeholders can setup (often with help of engineers) and view analytics dashboards to measure or check-on KPIs and other key insights
Sisense is amazing
What do you like best about the product?
All the data I need is at my fingertips.I run multiple pages for multiple departments and easily manage my team's data. I can implement product changes and price variants that my team uses daily. It does integrate with all my platforms. And customer service is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
None at this time I like all it has to offer.

Data analysis and tracking all metrics for my employees.
It makes data gathering, analytics and reporting a lot easier.

Everything is very helpful but the best part is the charts and graphs.

Probably sometimes it takes time to load when the data is too heavy.

Licensing, being within the range of amounts for all tools in the sector, is sometimes opaque and difficult to measure. However, since it is an annual subscription for a single product, we always know what, how much, and why we are paying.
