Best of the Best
What do you like best about the product?
Flexability of the system and total end to end control
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited or no support on Polycom phone hardware
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unified Communications are a huge plus. Ability to have apps on desktop and mobile and IOS/Windows/Android
5+ Years Installing and Supporting 3cx
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of its deployment and agnostic use of SIP Trunks and hardware
What do you dislike about the product?
The technical support really needs some work. This has been a point of contention since day 1, 5 years ago and has really never improved. The staff there are difficult to work with and often are very unhelpful. Extremely unhelpful would be best described. Almost instructed to be as unhelpful as they are. We have basically had to learn on our own through trial and error with very little manufacturer provided backing and support through questions and issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost of entry barriers are the biggest sell point. We can deploy a system for near close to what normal ISP or Telco is charging for standard POTS lines with old key style PBX systems. This is the biggest win in my book for 3cx.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Find an integrator or partner that can help you with deployment and questions along the way before you start out with 3cx either as an integrator / installer or for in house use. This will save you a lot of headache and hours wasted on finding answers that someone else has already been through before you have. The price of entry and the features are the best attributes to 3cx but plan carefully before going live.
Dissatisfied
What do you like best about the product?
Not a fan. Too many outages and lost business opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mobile App crashed constantly. Experienced 8 outages in 3 months, not a suitable solution for call center or 24x7 environment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have moved on from 3CX. The platform was not reliable or resilient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do your homework, consider who the resale partner is and how technical they are. 3CX is not friendly to deal with directly, you will be required to work through a partner for break/fix. Expect outages to be resolved with no communication or RCA.
A great VoIP solution
What do you like best about the product?
It's a really easy system to admin. The mobile app is working really well during the Covid Lockdown.
What do you dislike about the product?
People 'accidently' putting their phone in DND, very close to disabling that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Had issues previously with SSL certificates not auto renewing, but hopefully thats all resolved. also the Chrome plugin is having audio issues with some users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
User training is crucial, theres a lot of features, showcase them all.
Great PBX, easy to use, has lots of features!
What do you like best about the product?
Has a good acd and call queues, upgrades are easy. Mobile app is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see more routing options for calls and hold music in between queues, better notifications of a breach and logic for skils based routing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working from home has been a breeze with 3CX.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get a good demo, it's really neat.
3CX is easy to setup and runs from the cloud or on-site
What do you like best about the product?
3CX is easy to setup and runs from the cloud or on-site. The admin interface is great and can import users from Active Directory.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the mobile app is not always successful for user at connecting calls. This is a great advantage for remote workers or people away from a desk or on the move but it can be frustrating when calls do not work well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
3CX works great with our desktop phones software phone on desktops or in the Google Chrome browser with the plugin. It is easy to make quick changes to the phone system especially in the changing times we are in today.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use 3CX if you want a phone system to be easy to manage and rich in features that keep improving all the time. 3CX is easy to manage and is easy for users to use on a Yealink phone, PC or Mac computer, IOS or Android. I would recommend it to anyone that needs flexibility and convenience in a modern phone system.
If I don't get my $50 gift card I will be pissed. Great software btw.
What do you like best about the product?
Lightweight, super user friendly webclient
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs a multi-tenant version. Would be great for scale-able managed PBX resale.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost savings, valued feature additions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is great. And if I don't get my gift card I will never use 3CX again.
3CX is a easy to manage, cost saving, turn key solution with many features.
What do you like best about the product?
3CX is supported on the cloud. 3CX supports all the major cloud providers. 3CX is easily deployed on the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like for 3CX to provide better support to its customers and re-sellers. They will find any little reason to refuse support. Example: Custom templates, different sip trunk provider, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to work remotely. Easily training users on how to use the system. Easy system to manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use yealink phones. These seem to be the most reliable phones and are heavy duty.
Fantastic phone system
What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of options for using 3cx, including mobile apps, desktop apps and a web portal.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the call quality can be a little iffy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without 3cx, I wouldn't have been able to work from home during this odd time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot and see how you feel about it. Once you get used to it, it is very easy to use compared to other phone systems I have used.
