Perfect way to develop as a software engineer

What do you like best about the product?
The breadth of videos available is my favourite thing about Pluralsight. I am able to pick up new languages and frameworks really easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no sandbox to test code, so you have to download any examples or build from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Filling gaps in my knowledge is my primary use of Pluralsight. It is also great for gaining an insight without diving deeply.

What do you like best about the product?
The range of content is absolutely amazing. It's very very rare I type something in the search and don't find a course, project or pathway that will help me improve or learn something new and if there's no results, I just wait a few weeks and new content appears!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the courses aren't as well structured as they could be, forcing me to dip in and out or bounce between modules to find what I'm looking for.

Also, for mid-level topics the content can often be weak. There's incredible help available for beginners and some really advanced topics but some of the middle areas are a bit lacking
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've upskilled a team from complete beginners in order to deliver service redesigns and new software for government in the UK.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Signing up is only the start. Work with your team to get value, check in with them, set goals, push each other and really get involved. You get more out of it in the long run if you invest beyond sign up.

What do you like best about the product?
Pluralsight has avast range of courses including interactive courses which have helped me study and secure a promotion at my workplace. I have stepped up from a support analyst to an application engineer after studying the C and SQL modules
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could have more interactive courses and practice exams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it to learn coding which is a fundamental part of my job.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a really effective learning tool if you use it right. Very detailed and allows you to learn in your own time and pace. It doesn't cost that much extra and you get a lot of material and content

What do you like best about the product?
The use of channels to structure things I want myself and my team to learn about
What do you dislike about the product?
When you pickup a video from another device it doesn't remember exactly where you were at, you have to start from the start of that module
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preparing to grow an information team gradually from internal staff
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If in doubt get your staff to sign up to the free trial and evaluate it for a couple of weeks

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's a great resource to try to improve the skill level of my team. I can create paths and see what they are learning and see their assessments
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there where several paths for the same type of system. A BI Path for Microsoft and another for Tableau, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to give my team a source to constantly improve themselves.

Pluralsight - Scamming People for a Living

  • September 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Decent layout on the website. Courses have knowledge but they are unnecessarily dragged out and don't hold as much value as other competitior options.
What do you dislike about the product?
Charges you despite cancelling free trial. Will try anything in their power to deceptively get their hands on your money, if possible even without providing you with any services in return.
Do not count on friendly customer service. With Pluralsight it's the norm to be met with rude and arrogant replies and to even be insulted by their customer service. Do not expect them to refund you any money from their fraudulent charges. They bank on their customers not taking legal action and scam unwitting people to take their money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are no benefits. The material is outdated and unnecessarily lenghty.
They will try all they can to charge you the full price even after cancelling the free trial. Any appeals to their customer support are met with rude replies and are just brushed off. These people are seasoned SCAMMERS and will try all they can fraudulently take away your money and not give it back.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE! There are other options out there who wont try to syphon all your money out of you through fraudulent means.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stay away from this website if at all possible.

If you absolutely "must" try it out, then take highest caution. Use a prepaid credit card that has no more money than required for the subscription time you want to buy. If it has any more than this they WILL try to get their hands on this money any way they can.
If you use PayPal and want to do the free trial, after cancelling it MAKE SURE TO CANCEL THE BILLING AGREEMENT in your PayPal account. Otherwise they WILL try to charge your fraudulently despite your cancellation before the trial expired.

What do you like best about the product?
Pluralsight has amazing courses for the most in-demand technologies on the market facilitated buy very experienced tutors. I'm currently on a Mobile Web Specialist Course sponsored buy google but within the 2 months I've spent in the program, I feel like my development has grown exponentially
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest issue is that the course content show a current year which gives your the illusion that the content is current and yet only a few updates were made to the course which is about 3 -4 years later than the shown date
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pluralsight offers access to the best content for any technology you're interested in learning

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to assess where my skillsets currently lie, objective view rather than self assessment
What do you dislike about the product?
Some courses seem to be missing. For instance, my role focuses on the software development lifecycle for embedded software with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). Courses need to be added in this space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits of training
Focused time spent in self improvement
