A Great Technical Training Resource

  • September 10, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The website has a very beautiful and functional design that helps you:
* Find new courses to watch, either by curated topic called "paths" or by search
* Very quickly continue courses and see your progress
* Collect courses together into channels to share with co-workers
While the content quality varies some, the courses are usually good to very good and the content is always informative and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I have been a Pluralsight user for a few years, sometimes I like to cruise through the latest courses list to see what is new and piques my interest. It takes a few clicks to get to the full list. I end up doing this once every few months maybe. It would be nice if there was a feature that suggested new content based on your interests/past courses.

Also I'd love to see a curated UX/UI path. I've built a channel for that, but I think it's content that every developer should be exposed to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used Pluralsight to both learn new programming languages and software tools from scratch, as well as keep up to date with new features of languages I already know. I've also taken some of the soft skills courses to gain skills working with other people more effectively; I really appreciate that they have these courses as well. I also have enjoyed some of the recordings of live presentations; these have a different and often more entertaining dynamic that are fun and informative to watch.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you or your company is looking for training for technical skills, especially on a broad range of software development topics, Pluralsight should be at the top of your list.

Great training presented in an easy to consume format

  • September 10, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Pluralsight for me is that there is a course on nearly everything I need to do my job. I find the paths very useful when I am wanting to learn a new subject area. The way the courses are grouped into beginner, intermediate and advanced sections with an IQ test to measure my progress helps to prove that I am learning.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the rapid change that goes on in the IT industry things can get out of date quickly. Some of the older courses are no longer relevant or are difficult to follow along with as tools they make use of have changed. These courses could do with updating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have moved from a 4.x .NET WPF role to an ASP.NET Core role. Pluralsight has rapidly given me the skills to become productive in my new role.

Best react getting started and advanced knowledge by Samer Buna

  • September 10, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the thoughtful teacher structure and material that Samer Buna organized for react getting started and advanced course. Samer Buna is an expert in React.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like everything. Some session might be a little fast. Instructor explains the purpose is to put in more content in very short video. We need to pause video when there is need to think through the questions and then restart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to learn the latest technology in very fast-paced.

What do you like best about the product?
I haven't been able to stump Pluralsight yet, whatever the topic, there are resources available to help me learn and grow. The learning paths, channels and bookmarks make it easier to keep myself organized amidst such a huge breadth of available content. I also like being able to test myself using the skills assessment. It gives me a realistic idea of where I'm at compared to other engineers. Using the skills assessment, I can focus my time on where I need to make the most improvements.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been occasions when information is a bit stale, but that is rarely the case. There have been some legacy tools that I've had difficulty finding resources on, but I understand that's not really the focus of Pluralsight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just in time learning is a huge issue at the current pace our industry is changing. Pluralsight has helped us to keep up, even when we're so short on time. Even when you only have an hour or two at a time to dedicate to learning, it's easy to jump into Pluralsight and continue where you left off. Recently I've particularly appreciated the resources available for preparing for AWS certification.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make use of the learning paths and channels. They are a great way to organize your learning around your development goals. The breadth of information available on Pluralsight can be overwhelming, so using their tools to find courses and track your progress is important.

What do you like best about the product?
Pluralsight is full of useful resources, I love how there are multiple learning options provided. There are videos, literature and interactive tools. I thoroughly enjoy the hands-on experience the interactive tools offer, not only am I going through a lecture, I also have the liberty to follow along and perform the actions. This is highly beneficial for a hands-on learner like myself.
