lack of drill down platform-level administrative features .

Cloud Big Data administration to reduce customer care involvement.

Grab AppDynamics when/if you need to see your code in visually. There is no other product on this planet when it comes to Visualisation.
Have a thorough plan at large.

Best Application Monitoring Tool
What do you like best about the product?
AppD drill down each method where it call, show CPU usage, diskspace, logs, time duration of each call. Every thing which application team needs to monitor.
What do you dislike about the product?
little bit delay of 2-3 sec but it wont bother much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking for high CPU usage and time duration of SQL call. This will help us to debug product issue and the SQL query which was taking time to process.

The support needs to be better, almost of problems that we found and depends on the AppD Support we spent a ton of time.

Dashboards! We can make them for all types of problems and level of detail

People are gravitating to the solution and we have to adjust our operations fir more informed stakeholders.

Current tool can not monitor queues. Also upgrading existing tool requires skill set we have to relearn.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the observability and visibility we get with AppDynamics. In one pane of glass we are able to observe the metrics that matter to us and quickly identify the source of the challenge

In the enterprise we often find it challenging to integrate all of what AppDynamics has to offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to globally view and record synthetic monitoring metrics, database insight, business transaction traces, infrastructure monitoring and comprehensive dashboards
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fully understand all the AppDynamics has to offer. Take advantage of their sales engineers and support. It is not a set and forget tool, rather a platform to continuously add-on to.

What do you like best about the product?
AppD is the best Application monitoring tool in the industry. AppD provides in-depth insights into a customer application landscape including Onprem, SaaS, Business, COTS, etc. AppD has improved a lot by focusing on relevant Infra monitoring pertaining to those application landscape as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
AppD need to work on a simpler pricing structure covering end to end Infra monitoring(Servers, Database, Networks) and application landscape.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve complete Application specific problems and rely upon more matured tools for Infra monitoring. While the complete integrated Analytics and Dashboard provides end to end view, isolating the exact root cause finds it difficult sometimes to identify which tool had the issue. Most of the times, AppD has proved to give benefits like Application oriented business revenue insights, End customer satisfaction improved insights, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
I inherited this tool from others and was impressed with its simplicity and functionality. It is easy to learn and use. Especially for new learners, it is good to use. The information provided by the logs is quite useful and even a novice can find it handy
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes i find integration is a bit difficult. Likely because of my lower experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to monitor our windows server and i am impressed with its ability to log events. I am used to using windows and this tool integrates well. I have found that we are able to track it easily and become proactive rather than reactive.

Anyone who wants to monitor their logs and get better insights into their environment should give this a try.
