What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Cortex Cloud because it gives a secure, centralized way to manage and scale workloads without the usual headaches of on‑premise infrastructure. Its streamlined interface and automation features save you time, while the built‑in compliance and security controls align with your focus on safety and proper protocols. I value how it integrates smoothly with existing systems, making troubleshooting and monitoring more efficient, so I can focus on solving problems rather than wrestling with tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback I found with Cortex Cloud is that it can feel overly complex at times navigating its layers of configuration and permissions isn’t always intuitive, which slows down troubleshooting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cortex Cloud addresses the challenges of securing and managing today’s complex multi-cloud environments by bringing together visibility, compliance, and threat response within a single platform. It enables organizations to detect and prioritize risks such as misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities in real time, while also automating remediation to minimize manual work. By consolidating alerts into context-rich cases, Cortex Cloud helps reduce incident response times, maintain continuous compliance with regulatory standards, and avoid the inefficiencies of managing multiple dashboards. Ultimately, it tackles the issues of fragmented monitoring, slow manual workflows, and increasing cyber threats, providing teams with a streamlined and scalable solution to safeguard their cloud workloads.

What do you like best about the product?
I ike that its flexible and scalable, also i like it that i can integrate it with existing tools, good observability, monitoring is a deal braker for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Always the learning curve can be steep for newcomers, especially without prior experience in observability tools, configuration flexibility comes at the cost of complexity. Pricing may also become an issue at scale, depending on data retention and usage patterns. Lastly, certain features or integrations may still require hands-on tuning or aren’t as mature as more established platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
cortex cloud helps us deal with the complexity of managing observability at scale. before, handling prometheus ourselves was a hassle, especially when it came to longterm storage, high availability, and multi-tenant setups. with cortex, we don't have to worry about the operational overhead, and we get consistent performance and better query reliability. it also helps us catch issues faster and keeps everything in one place, which makes collaboration between teams easier. overall, it's made monitoring way more manageable without needing to build and maintain everything ourselves.

Robust multi-cloud security with a minor setup curve

  • June 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cortex Cloud’s unified dashboard brings together real-time threat detection, automated policy recommendations, and detailed compliance reporting in one place. Its seamless integrations with AWS, Azure, and popular SIEM platforms meant we were ingesting logs and acting on alerts within hours, not days. The customizable alert rules and intuitive visualizations have helped our team rapidly pinpoint anomalies and reduce manual review time by over 40%.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial onboarding can be time-intensive—there’s a lot of policy fine-tuning required before you hit “optimal” settings, and some advanced modules (like custom indicators) lack step-by-step guides. The UI also feels a bit cluttered when monitoring many workloads simultaneously, and usage-based pricing can escalate quickly for larger environments unless you carefully manage data ingestion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cortex Cloud solves the core challenges of securing dynamic, multi-cloud environments by unifying visibility and controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP into a single console, automating threat detection and triage with machine-learning analytics that reduce false positives by roughly 60%, enforcing real-time policy orchestration to eliminate configuration drift, and generating continuous, audit-ready compliance reports. As a result, we halved our mean time to remediation, reclaimed over 20 analyst-hours per week from manual log-sifting, maintained 100% compliance, and scaled protection across more than ten cloud accounts without adding headcount.

Solid platform for managing infrastructure.

  • April 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cortex Cloud helps reduce the complexity of managing different services. It brings everything into one view which makes it easier to spot issues quickly and respond faster. The integrations with other tools like Slack work smoothly, and the incident tracking is solid. It makes our day to day work a lot more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features feel a bit hidden or not fully documented, which made the initial learning curve slightly steeper than I expected. Also while the UI is generally clean, I wish there were more options to customize the dashboard to match my workflow better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest issues it’s helped with is centralizing service information and improving reliability. Instead of manually tracking services, dependencies, and incidents across different tools, Cortex Cloud gives me one place to monitor everything. It’s made it easier to catch problems early, automate some of the repetitive tasks, and keep our systems more stable overall. It’s definitely improved how quickly we respond to issues and how well we coordinate as a team.

Integrates threat detection for multiple clouds but pricing remains a concern

  • April 10, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I work with Palo Alto products, including their firewalls, VM-Series, CM-Series, hardware, and Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks. I recommend Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks primarily for financial services, FSI, and energy companies.

What is most valuable?

The threat detection feature in Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks integrates with cloud-native controls like AWS GuardDuty and similar services on Azure and GCP. It also brings its own threat intelligence from Unit 42 and supports external intel feeds like VirusTotal. Multi-cloud compliance monitoring leads to a normalized view and can reduce workforce requirements.

What needs improvement?

The cost of Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks is too high. I would also appreciate the addition of NLP to reduce the learning curve and make configuring queries more user-friendly.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks since it was called RedLock in 2019.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward. Day zero involves cloud integration following an admin guide. Day one involves policy tuning, customization, and configuring compliance policies like GDPR.

What was our ROI?

The ROI is challenging to quantify. While there is tangible reduction in workforce needed, exact cost savings cannot be easily measured.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Pricing and licensing are expensive. There are different experiences with ROI, and exact cost benefits are hard to quantify.

What other advice do I have?

If you have a multi-cloud environment, Prisma Cloud by Palo Alto Networks is essential for reducing costs and normalizing outputs. In a single-cloud, limited setup with good automation, you might not need it. I rate the overall solution at seven to seven and a half.
