Efficient Platform for Data handling
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that this is the most Powerful platform for building high performance data integrations solutions.
and data migration tool that comes with Microsoft SQL server database that used to extract, assemble and transform data.
This integration tool really helps in solving complex business problems and improvesproductivity and efficiency.
The implementation of this tool is super easy to use and on every day basis I am using it frequently.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have not encountered any major drawbacks with this tool so I really do not feel any cons of this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has really helped inexecutingmultiple tasks on every day basis.
It helps me in migrating data, transform and assemble data including databases and cloud based applications.
It can also encrypt files, send files to other network locations so overall provides consistency and reduce manual errors.

What do you like best about the product?
The initial setup ran smoothly, without surprises. The relationship between cost-benefit could be a decisive factor, particularly if support hours are included, but you need to be 100% sure that the features will cover your needs. The lineage data visualization is remarkable but with some limitations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Alation captured basic data flow but it lacked crucial details about transformations happening within the SSIS packages. Without a way for managing SSIS packages directly from Alation, we needed to switch between platforms very often, a big hole for efficiency. We had to do manual digging whenever we needed to analyze and understand very specific data manipulations but under other circumstances, it could be enough useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a data catalog solution that enables us to transparency, data governance and transformation. The goal was achieved partially but the experience let us understand the scope of our needs and future steps.

It is very useful for the large amount of data in the database. It's easy to do integration and migration of data with security.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can say the cost is a little on the higher side, and also sometimes it takes time to do the required configuration on the server which seems a complex process.

It helps me manage and process large volumes of data efficiently with different data sources. So, I can easily manage it using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services to Alation.

Microsoft sql server integration services and alation serve different but complementory roles in the data management ecosystem. easy to use and customer friendly

Both sql server intergration services and alation have the robust capability but they come with some challanges. SSIS in mantinance debugging and deployment . alation can be costly complex to integrate

Both SSIS and Alation address several key data managment, provide benifit. SSIS lifting heavy data intergration and transformantion and alation provide solution to manage data effectivily
Best graphical Integration Services with Altation
What do you like best about the product?
Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a Low code Enterprise level tool with ease of usage and integration. It has graphical Integration Services to convert any type of data. Altation is data analysis too and with these tools the frequency of usage of SSIS is very high and accurate.With Being Low code the implementation is very easy and the support provided is phenomenol.

The pacakage is limited thee are few additional features which can be implemented.

We were facing issues on marketplace with graphical Integration Services and SSIS came as the best tool for us resolving our integration issues.

You can load data into Alation by performing custom transformations on it using SSIS. According to Alation's needs, you can purify, enhance, and shape data.
What do you dislike about the product?
If SSIS is hosted on a different platform, it may not be compatible with Alation's infrastructure because it runs on Windows servers.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to obtain complete data traceability is one of the most valuable aspect of combining SSIS with Alation. Users can see the complete data flow from source to destination by combining both.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two thinks which is complicated. One is difficulty of configuring and maintaining the integration, integrating Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services with Alation might be difficult.
The integration also be affected by upgrades or modifications made to either system, needs continuous administration and troubleshooting.

Clear data lineage and centralized data management, improved data governance and compliance, and improved teamwork and documentation among data teams are few possitive outcomes by intergrating both helps to address the difficulty of tracking and managing complex ETL processes.
Customer service is excellent and the way they treat us is highly appreciable
