A great experience with Dynatrace
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of deployment and insight gained into platform health and performance
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost of host units causes a challenge to rolling out to further platforms
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduced downtime to platforms during incidents
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dynatrace provides a great insight into the performance and health of platforms. Cost can be high if large number of servers need to be monitored

quick setup, fast feedback
What do you like best about the product?
ease of set up, i.e. apply agent then getting quick info on your environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
dashboards could be improved in terms of set up and being able to interrogate all the info
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
main benefit has been the quick turnaround in diagnosing issues in our environments and all also being able to predict issues
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ease of set up and quick turnaround in diagnosing issues with critical applications can give you a quick return on investment.
Really easy and quick to deploy!

The ease of which we were able to deploy dynatrace and monitor our platforms

The dashboards could be more flexible in terms of having the ability to manipulate text and grid sizes

We are monitoring our websites and also a lot of our internal business applications

You have to see if for yourself to believe how easy and quick it is to have this deployed, up ad running and monitoring your systems / applications.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact you can find an issue on the site without churning through your code and logs. and the creation of dashboards for others that are less technically knowledgeable
What do you dislike about the product?
the slowness if searching over a larger timeframe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
outages/500 errors/customer experience issues/performance issues.

Dashboard could be brought in line with AppMon

It has only been deployed to very small applications currently and we have not had any issues

What do you like best about the product?
I love DynaTrace becomes it really allows you to see the numbers unlike any other software

As of now I have no complaints about Dynatrace

We use Dynatrace to track the analytics when running certain programs such as the speed and efficiency of applications

The fact we can diagnose an issue with a couple clicks of the button

At this moment in time, nothing. All works perfet

Currently application overload and finding log files. Saving us tonnes of man hours finding the issue

Easy to identify issues and point the right direction of the root cause

It’s not always easy to find issue at code level

Advanced awareness of outages, resolve before customers notify us
Easy to set up and use synthetic monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Relatively simple to create and maintain synthetic montiors. Quite simple to pick up the basics of the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some synthetic monitors failed instantly with no page issues, but was difficult to figure out why they were failing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Site performance, page ability statistics. We had limited or no statistics previously.
Intuitive and comprehensive
What do you like best about the product?
The depth of information you get with extremely little setup time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of information is quite overwhelming for a new system user. In the long term this is great as it’s exactly what is needed for issue handling, but more of a walk through approach to the various system areas would be nice initially. That being said, DynaTrace support were extremely helpful in getting us going.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User sessions was a massive deal for us and the insight this gives us into what users are actually experiencing is amazing. The session replay stuff presented this morning was very exciting. Also it supports DB2 - a technology we’d rather be (but cannot be) without. Support for this in the same depth is lacking elsewhere.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Need to set a significant amount of time aside to ensure that it is understood and adopted properly - it takes resource to implement well, but the benefits of doing so are huge.
