We use Ant Media for all video calls made through our service platform. The result is very good.

What do you like best about the product?
The samples of usage are very useful and facilitate the process of creation of new models and possibilities.
The stream latency is very low.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been using Ant Media for a few years at another company I worked for. And most of the times the answers given to the emails are very superficial and are not resolute or the answers are partial.
One more email is always needed. And, perhaps because of the time difference, each response takes at least 24 hours. In critical cases this is a problem if we consider 48 hours for the solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a new channel to support our customers using video call. It is very good!

Quick and Well Supported Solution with Scalability in Mind

  • September 02, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The server is reasonably easy to install and maintain and the pay-as-you-go option gives us the flexibility to run it in QA when we need it without paying for a full license.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it would be fair at this point in our history with the tool to point out a dislike... let's just say I'm hopeful that the Ant can scale with us as we grow our user base and that the WebRTC implementation is as straightforward as the RTMP was.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We obviously did not want to try a DIY approach to this complex piece of the puzzle so having a system that's easy to integrate and well supported by the community and developers was a critical decision point in deciding to go this route.

What do you like best about the product?
Low latency, supports from the team, security, performance related to adaptive bit rate, open opportunity to do horizontal scaling, and the community.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far , I don't have any important complicacy about how to used the technology, but if I can ask, maybe faster response in ticket handling
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to do digital transformation due to cost saving and newer technology. One of the solution is to create unified communications with AI infused . AMS offer the tech that give us possibly to do revamp in shorter time with less efforts and also cost friendly ^•^

What do you like best about the product?
The setup of the Streaming server in our local environment was easy. We have used it to stream live video from farming fields, emergenciesetc. The Video on Demand feature was very interesting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation of Ant Media server can be improved as it is not updated as fast as the feature implementations. It would be good to have proper release notes and more samples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to stream remote Video to multiple users. This helped in analyzing the data using Video analytics in the field of Agriculture, Energy domains. Reduced the time to share the Video as we used Video on Demand feature to load the saved Videos.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly recommend using Ant Media Server for Streaming and Video on Demand applications.

Low Latency WebRTC

  • June 16, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
WebRTC SFU capability is great, we can do multiple one-to-many streams for video conferencing purposes. The latency is very low especially when endpoint users and media server are geographically located on the same continent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Releases and features are not well documented. Often changes between releases can be a surprise and break functionality in features. Finding proper documentation is spread across many places and often outdated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Low Latency WebRTC

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like to implement in my cloud services and local private server, transfer high-quality video to thousands of users adapted to the speed of the final Internet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Problems with setup documentation and system details, tech support help but would like more details in written instructions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stream video to several highly available users with low latency, so you can reach everyone at the same time without loss of data.
Adapt the system to IOS and Android phones for greater comfort of the end-user.

Use of Ant Media in a Private Non-Profit School.

  • May 20, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I would describe Ant Media Server with two words; simple and powerful. It is extremely easy to set up and configure, and the user interface is very simple to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many great features within Ant Media Server. However, I would like more control of advanced features such as adaptive bit rates. It would also be nice to support GPU rendering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since the Covid-19 Global Pandemic began, we have had to learn to leverage online communication in all areas of our operations. We are primarily using AMS to support our weekly assemblies. But we are always looking for new ways to integrate it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have been using web-based media streaming platforms since 2007. Throughout my experience, I have never encountered a simpler system to implement and use.

Very helpful, very prompt in replying to support queries

  • May 10, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The support from staff so far has been very helpful, and the installation process is very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
The experience of using the javascript SDK feels a little messy - there are some differences between the demos and the version(s) in github and it's difficult to know which one we should be using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're building a system which relies heavily on real-time streaming and it wouldn't have been possible if we'd tried to build it ourselves.
