AntMedia Support and Stream quality

  • September 02, 2021
  • Review verified by AWS Marketplace

I am really pleased with not just the level of support that is provided by the Ant Media team but also the quality of low latency streaming service that is provided. We have successfully utilised the service for multiple conferences and other events. I strongly recommend the service to any company.

The best media server for WebRTC and HLS/DASH

  • June 30, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ant Media Server (AMS) powers our digital event platform, Meetever, by providing reliable WebRTC and HLS streams. It can be easily integrated in our API workflow (via Webhooks, REST API with JWT Auth) so it works tightly together with our services.
What do you dislike about the product?
The WebUI deserves a facelift :) But of course, that's just a detail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use AMS for scheduled simulated-live streams as well as Restreaming and VoD

Finally, a media server that can scale and support todays platform needs

  • June 29, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We used multiple media servers and streaming servers to complement our SaaS product with real-time multi-party video conferencing. There are api based solutions that are not cost-effective at a larger scale and we had to choose an OnPrem version that we could effectively manage costs with.

While many open source/ commercial systems are out there and all of them claim to be scalable, real-time and having easy API's we had to iterate through 3 production-grade implementations before we finally ended up with Ant Media server.

The key things we liked were
- Easy scalability with a sensible dashboard/ UI
- AWS deployment was quick and easy, very little operations overhead to manage
- Great support both paid and unpaid

Mostly, the platform is reliable! it works even for 1000's of concurrent users.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had difficulty in the initial implementation with WebRTC with the JS API's not very clear; a more comprehensive example, particularly with multi-party video conferencing use case would help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are providing in-app video conferencing inside our SaaS collaboration platform.

Ant Media helped us implement this quickly after a few false starts with others services.

What do you dislike about the product?

Streaming latency and the ease of setting up production streaming system

Reliable and Effective

I met with Ant Media Server a while ago. After installed the Ant Media Server with CloudFormation stack under 10 mins. You can stream with WebRTC and you can run the whole stack as an Active-Active or Active-Passive fail-over scenario. It's really easy to scale up when you get unexpected traffic.

Incredible performance and service

As the owner of an auction house, I can only recommend the Antmedia solution. For more than 4 years, we have trusted them completely and they have become an essential part of our business. Combined with the AWS cluster platform, we are able to broadcast our auction video with a latency of less than 0.2 seconds, in Asia, Europe or the US. That's just incredible.

Flexible APIs and interfaces, excellent documentation and even better technical support.

I really appreciate how flexible their offering is. On our front-end, we wanted to customize the feature set for video conferencing for hosts vs. attendees. I found their APIs very easy to work with, and they way they were designed allows for significant customization.

There WebSocket events I found to be very intuitive and their examples (such as https://github.com/ant-media/StreamApp) are very detailed. They also have a detailed Wiki on GitHub (https://github.com/ant-media/Ant-Media-Server/wiki).

What makes their support excellent is that they handle issues with care and attentiveness. I fudged how I set up autoscaling, and the support engineer Murat was highly available in resolving my problem quickly.
