Powerful and Feature Packed, Yet Lacks Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
The system management is much better than it's competitors. I have been using a dedicated linux machine for production and our team member also require access to the system. If we change vhost settings though SSH, the changes are automatically reflected in the portal. But we find is much faster to configure our sites through Plesk than to use the SSL.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quite often the steps we find to accomplish something are entirely different on out version of Plesk and it's hard to find how to do the same thing in the same version.
Another thing, due to mistake of another developer, some important files were deleted which caused PLESK and all our hosted sites to stop working. Luckily SSH access was still working and we got no support from Plesk saying that since the plesk cannot connect to the machine, they can't help us. It took us some time to fix the problems but we were all on our own.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For day-to-day tasks, server management is way way easier than SSHing and editing config files. The logs are very useful for us.

Always keep Plesk updated or you are going to be in trouble

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that anyone can easily get one running, and quickly progress into hardening security, monitoring performance and increase reliability on a shared hosting platform with a somehow intuitive GUI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the details I disliked over the years were generally related either to features we didn't use or that were designed with a more broader scope in mind. Once I learned the intended use and understood the big picture it all made sense. Currently the only dislike I have is log rotation - still not doing what it's supposed to do and keeping a 3GB log fie for a single website.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sorting out some "not yet fully understood" PHP-FPM issues, not sure if website related, Plesk related or infrastructure related. Benefits realized so far are GUI related and plethora of available plugins.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Read documentation as some of the features are intended for large implementations and may not be applicable in the same way you expect. Test all new functionalities separately. Read thoroughly before using LVE Manager.

Most helpful thing in the Plesk is it's user friendly UI to understand and operate things easily for non technical people as well.
And also features are the best. Like Let's encrypt the most.

Stability of access portal and some non working clicks while working with some of the features.

What do you like best about the product?
Plesk supports Windows and Linux servers. Also it offers optional Server control from your mobile phone. Also Free iPad/Android Apps.

User interface is not suitable for beginners.

I'm used to cPanel but when I started to check on Plesk I noticed it's the unique way when it comes to sites and how user-friendly Plesk's UI is. WordPress Tool kit has this check security that you may consider not to add security plugins.
I guess this is best if you have multiple wp sites since it also has prebuilt settings that you can deploy at any time. That means less work if you have created lots of templates already.
I'd say one of the top with Plesk is its security, you will find troubles along the way tho because of its own strictness, and for big organizations like banks or any site with high traffic for user transactions, definitely, Plesk is commendable.

Due to its uniqueness of the UI, you may need a bit of time to learn things.
The price is a bit high compared to another host with the UI, Also, I hate the precedence systems of it when it comes to indented files, so if your cPanel/WHM guy you will for sure have lots of troubles.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've also tried another version of Plesk, but that was with Godaddy, The UI there has lots of troubles, mostly for mod security issues. The only benefit it has was the recycle app pool feature that helps to clear out caches.

If you are looking for a windows-based managing system, this is good for you.
