A Honest Review on Swiftype
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can manage multiple sites. I like that I can control the results on searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little glittchy. I can't click the back button when I am in result ranking or synonyms. Sometimes when I click the link to view a item and go back my results ranking goes back to its original state. This erases my progress sometimes even when I hit refresh. I also cannot find items that I know are on the website but are not on swiftype.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the previous problem I had with Google search. Before I could not control what shows up on our search results when someone went to look up products on our site. Now I am able to have full control of what I want to show up when someone goes to search for a specific product.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a cheaper alternative but still effective.

Support from swiftype has been great. API is decent too

It isn't built exactly for our use case which presents some challenges.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are aggregating data into a single search engine. We are still in development.
Swiftype ― the place to go after Google Search!
What do you like best about the product?
SUCH a great tool! We absolutely love it. We like the ability most of all to easily create custom search results for any search.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability (at this point) to easily manage and sort hundreds of search customizations ― they have informed us that is in the works. Right now, just a paginated list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the demise of Google Search, we needed a high-quality search engine that allowed us to customize on a daily basis according to anticipated audience needs.

Absolutely worth a trial run ― you'll quickly see the benefits.

Knowing what customers are searching for, getting 0 results, and what misspellings are happening bringing up 0 results

Updating info more than once a week. I would like to have results more frequently

What do you like best about the product?
Robust search tool, works great. We are very happy with this product.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works great, a little expensive but we think it will be worth it in the long run.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing our team, our customers, our prospects and the general public a great search tool to find answers to all things drug testing - which is what we do.

If you want folks to be able to find information on your web site, use this tool.
Great way to see how well your site is doing
What do you like best about the product?
The weekly analytics report is great. Knowing exactly what people are searching for and matching that with what we offer helps us provide a better service.
What do you dislike about the product?
We still haven't fully implemented the software to see what we dislike but in the coming weeks we will be more hands on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us keep track of what potential students are searching for. It makes it easier to adapt to their searches and helps us add more keywords and see which ones are not being used.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it provides an easy way to integrate into various content management systems. It provides a business user friendly (easy) way to add weight to search results and other customizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the limited ability to modify the search results display. It's doable but I feel like it could probably be improved. Overall, pretty easy to implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to implement search along with weighted results ease.

Click around on the UI. Swiftype offers a lot of customization options that you likely should be using but aren't.
Great Search Option for our Customers!
What do you like best about the product?
Three things really stand out with Swiftype, the comprehensiveness and display of the search results, The simplicity of implementation, and the ability to choose which results show first for specific search terms and phrases. Make that four...the ability to recognize users choice of search phrases that are similar or in a different order.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I have found to date. Everything has gone smoothly in implementing with our website and we have gotten great feedback (often unsolicited) from our customers...something that let's know it is effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using the google search which worked pretty well but that was discontinued so we were looking for an alternative when we found swiftype. We have positioned our website to be the authoritative source for drug testing information for the industry and this has helped us further improve on that. This leads not only to recognition but the information people find leads directly to sales and referrals.

Best of all the choices we reviewed and the implementation was simple with great results.

Frictionless Search Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Indexing in easy with various types and options. System never fails to fetch the accurate data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nice to have the Bulk delete with in the Engines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No downtime for the site search and Product search. JSON response is so flexible to deliver the data with various Filters.

More reliable site search to Integrate and get sclaed to the Enterprise Search.
