Professional grade Streaming engine
What do you like best about the product?
Wowza is a very robust platform for streaming. For both Live TV & VOD supports a wide range of protocol seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although they have a robust platform, their pricing modality sucks. In 2019, I purchased a perpetual license that doesn't support any latest patches. I'm somewhat forced to buy a support plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Raw feed transcoding & Ensuring Endmile delivery for OTT Streaming platform. Supports both headend & end-mile sections of a streaming platform.

What do you like best about the product?
With Wowza Streaming Engine you can make live video and audio streaming.

The integration with other technologies should be better.

It offers high-quality video and audio streaming across multiple platforms and devices.
Flexibility with the capability to work with any project.

We have a web portal that people need to preview audio from and Wowza allows up to build and support that player.
Customisable and Secure Streaming Engine
What do you like best about the product?
It's capability in customisation according to it's customer's need is great. Specially when it comes to developer it has various options which are easy to build the solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the integration solution like flowplayer is bit complex and not as streamlined as it should be. Specially interatice playback feature is need to improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wowza streaming engine is best when it comes to customisation. However it's other features of security and scalability is better in every aspect in this domain.
Extremely efficient and easy to use.

It's very flexible. It can be used on various operating systems including Windows and Linux. I have used it along with Windows 2008 and 2012 over an intranet.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike. But more information regarding analytics could help.

It mainly helped my earlier organization in resolving intranet streaming quality issues.

I would recommend to have some more languages support so that it can be used by other development people who are comfortable working in just limited languages..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most common problem is getting a reliable service provider for streaming. So wowza proved to be reliable and easy to understand integration and this benefited integrating it easily.
I Was Wowed By Wowza
What do you like best about the product?
1. I wouldn't say I like downloads (except for the reason to try them), especially for software I frequently use. Hence Wowza Cloud Streaming comes fast in the bargain for me because I have been able to stream live from my Browser as it can stream from any browser, and browser-based streaming is simple.
2. The capability to stream pre-recorded and edited videos as LIVE on my YouTube channel is a winner all the way. It enhances my live video message as clarity and quality come to the fore.
3. The 1 Month Free Trial is excellent and long enough to appreciate what this tool can do. If your live streamings are for business, then within the trial period, you can make enough money to continue using it as a paid user after the trial is over. Here the software owners have the poor me in mind as much as they think about the rich user. Talk about empathy!

1. The fact that you must pay for some upgrade to access better-enhanced support is an apparent turn-off to start-ups on low budgets. Start-ups have the most questions and need full access to support services regardless of their membership status. They want to learn how to use the software to make money and come back to pay for the paid service and not to be charged for learning. Asking for help to use your software correctly must never be a paid-for service in any way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Live videos on YouTube bring higher numbers of viewers and subscribers. The more viewers I have for my videos, the more clicks I have on my affiliate links that go along with the videos. The more clicks on my affiliate links, the more sales I make. In this regard, Wowza Cloud Streaming is highly beneficial.
Cost trap. Very dangerous product
We no longer have any instance of this product and without reluctance I continue to receive invoices.
This is a nightmare.
The online information on this situation is very deficient if not non-existent.
It does not make us trust the AWS Markewtplace ( AND WOWZA ) at all for future projects.
Easy Setup Video Streaming Application
What do you like best about the product?
Wowza streaming is very easy to set up and Wowza media solutions provide tons of resources that help and guide how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the help support will take a few days to reply to a raised ticket. But other than that I have not found anything to dislike

I use Wowza engine for live streaming of events and it has served my purpose for small scale viewership.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to live stream content to a small audience then Wowza engine is the solution. You can deploy it on a cloud or on a local machine easily and there are a lot of support documents that help and guide you to do that.
Arbitrarily Limited
This has been great for cost management of Wowza servers that don't need to be running 24/7, but that is where the positives end. EC2 has released new instance types, specifically m5, since this image was last updated which are not supported. Attempts to manually migrate to other instance types have failed also. But now that I've deployed my fleet with this AMI, I'm stuck.
