Overview
SFTP Gateway is a secure, scalable, and easy-to-use solution for transferring files via SFTP to cloud storage services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. It facilitates seamless file transfers directly to cloud storage, ensuring data protection by never storing files in transit. Administrators manage the SFTP service through an intuitive web dashboard.
The professional version supports high availability for production workloads. We recommend this version for any production deployment that requires redundancy and high performance. High availability is provided by deploying multiple SFTP Gateway instances to private subnets in different availability zones. Traffic is automatically routed to each instance using a network load balancer. The High Availability deployment is automated using our deployment templates, making the process quick and easy.
SFTP Gateway provides end-to-end data encryption and protection. It runs as a Virtual Machine image in your private cloud environment. Data is transferred directly from SFTP clients to cloud storage locations, like AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Google Cloud Storage, and is never touched by a third party. It supports configurable SFTP encryption algorithms during transfer. At rest, files are encrypted using cloud storage bucket policies with Platform or Customer-Managed encryption keys via services like KMS, Key Vault, etc.
SFTP Gateway has been independently audited by a leading third-party security company. Security Audit report, Penetration Test results and Letter of Attestation is available on request.

SFTP Gateway (Single Instance - Existing Network)
This CloudFormation template deploys a single instance of SFTP Gateway into an existing VPC and subnet of your choice. The template also provisions the following AWS resources: (1) An IAM role grants the EC2 instance permission to create S3 buckets and upload objects. (2) An EC2 Security Group restricts inbound access to certain network ranges over ports. (3) And an Elastic IP reserves your IP address. After the CloudFormation stack spins up, you can connect to the public IP address (found in the CloudFormation Outputs tab) from your web browser to create and manage SFTP users. CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Usage instructions
You can configure SFTP Gateway with CloudFormation, or as an Amazon Machine Image. We highly recommend using CloudFormation because it configures additional AWS resources you would otherwise need to provision manually.
To access the product after launching the CloudFormation stack, simply grab the host name from the CloudFormation Outputs tab and paste it into your browser to access the Admin web interface.
