Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and curation from SolDevelo. Jenkins is an open source Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) server that makes possible to create jobs or pipelines that automate the process of building, testing or deploying applications under development.
Jenkins can act as a standalone server or cluster of nodes that allow supporting all kinds of projects, from small and simple, to large and complex. Jenkins is agnostic of the application stack, and can support all kinds of build (Java, Python, C++, etc.).
Jenkins can be easily set up and managed through its web interface.
Through the use of plugins, the functionality of Jenkins can be extended to support all kinds of specific build or deployment use cases, making the process of setting up the DevOps environment for projects even easier.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
First create an EC2 instance this AMI. Next, visit http://<instance_ip>:8080 in order to go through the initial guided Jenkins configuration. Follow the instructions on the page - they will require you to SSH into the system and get the initial random password from a file generated in the system. This password is automatically generated by Jenkins during instance start and is random per installation. The location if the file will be shown on the intial configuration page. After you finish the initial setup, you are free to start using Jenkins according to your needs.
