Overview
SQLiteServer on Ubuntu 24.04 with maintenance support by ATH. This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for support. SQLite is a lightweight, in-process library that implements a self-contained, serverless, zero-configuration, transactional SQL database engine. Unlike other database management systems (DBMS), SQLite does not require a separate server process, making it ideal for embedded applications, mobile devices, and small-to-medium scale web applications. It stores the entire database in a single file, simplifying deployment and reducing system overhead. SQLite supports most of the SQL standards, including transactions, joins, and subqueries, ensuring robust database functionality without the need for complex setup and management.
Highlights
- SQLite does not require a separate server process, allowing it to run within the application process, reducing complexity and resource consumption.
- With no server to install, manage, or configure, SQLite simplifies setup and usage, making it accessible for developers and users without extensive database administration knowledge.
- The entire database is stored in a single cross-platform file, facilitating easy distribution, backup, and portability of the database.
