Usage instructions
CubeBackup is already installed on the Windows Server when a new AMI is deployed. You only need to configure it to backup your Microsoft 365 data. Basically, there is no need to SSH to the Amazon EC2 instance. The initial configuration can be done through a web interface.
- Open a web browser on your computer and visit the IP address of your EC2 instance. A setup wizard will pop up.
- In the setup wizard, select the storage type and enter the required credentials. For example, if you select "Local disk" as the storage type, you will need to enter the local directories as the data index path and the backup location. In the meantime, storing the backup data to AWS S3 is highly recommended.
- Follow the instructions in the setup wizard to register and authorize an application in Azure AD on behalf of CubeBackup to access resources in your organization.
- In the setup wizard, select users to back up.
- Setup the administrator and password for CubeBackup's web dashboard.
- Start the first backup in CubeBackup. For more detailed instructions, please refer to https://www.cubebackup.com/docs/ms365/user_guide365/initial_config_linux/ .
