Firstly, become a superuser: sudo su
Navigate to root directory: cd /root
It is best practice to update and upgrade the machine:
sudo apt update -y sudo apt upgrade -y
To verify installations of Rootkit Hunter : rkhunter --version Rootkit Hunter 1.4.6
To run initial check : sudo rkhunter --check
