Overview
Cisco Umbrella offers flexible, cloud-delivered security when and how you need it. It combines multiple security functions into one solution, so you can extend protection to devices, remote users, and distributed locations anywhere.
As part of the Jump Start Services, Aqueduct will perform all the pre-deployment steps necessary to achieve a successful install:
Aqueduct Responsibilities License Inspection: • Aqueduct Engineer will inspect all licenses for quantity and type and ensure licensure matches expected entitlement • Aqueduct Engineer will correct any licensing discrepancy including: License Application and Coordination with Cisco Licensing for any discrepancies until resolved
Environment Staging: • Installation of Cisco Umbrella Virtual Appliances for HA on separate customer provided ESXi hosts • Initial configuration for IP addresses, DNS, time zone, NTP and SMTP (Validate installation, and Install Cisco recommended patches) • Validation of the following: Virtual Appliances, DCs and Connectors registered in Umbrella Portal
Customer Responsibilities • Creation of Umbrella Service Account (or validation of existing service account) (Logon Name: OpenDNS_Connector, Password Never Expires, Password must not contain \ ‘ “ < > or : characters, Group Membership: Enterprise Read-Only Domain Controllers, Event Log Readers, Distributed COM Users) • Grant read and write access for AQ engineer to relevant resources on VM Host environment and Virtual Appliance Deployment initial configurations
