Our Serverless AMI Bakery Accelerator (SABA) is a great starting point to simplify and secure the process of maintaining and deploying Amazon Machine Images (AMIs). What used to be a time consuming, error prone manual process that resulted in inconsistent security across AWS environments is now automated; SABA automates the deployment of AMIs consistently across your AWS accounts and regions. It allows you to customize AMIs with common agents, tools, security settings and custom applications before distributing them.

The solution is deployed using AWS CloudFormation templates to reduce deployment time and ease maintenance. It uses only using serverless AWS services to minimize operational overhead. It comes complete with an Ansible playbook to configure Ubuntu 18 to meet CIS guidelines with a framework to test compliance.
