Connecting to a Debian 11 Instance on AWS in 5 Steps:
1.- Launch an EC2 Instance:
Choose a Debian 11 AMI and launch a new EC2 instance on AWS. Configure security groups to allow SSH access (port 22) from your IP address. Download and Set Permissions:
2.- Download the private key (.pem file) provided during instance creation. Set appropriate permissions on the key file using: chmod 400 your-key.pem. Open Terminal (Command Prompt):
3.- Open a terminal or command prompt on your local machine. SSH into the Instance:
4.- Use the SSH command to connect to your instance (replace your-instance-ip and your-key.pem with actual values):
ssh -i "your-key.pem" debian@your-instance-ip If you use a different username, replace debian with the correct username.
5.- Connect and Access Debian 11: Confirm the connection by typing "yes" when prompted. You should now be connected to your Debian 11 instance on AWS via SSH. Perform administrative tasks or configurations as needed. Remember to keep the private key secure.
