Overview
Microsoft HPC Pack 2019 Cluster on Windows Server 2022
Deploy a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster by using Microsoft® HPC Pack 2019 on AWS. HPC Pack allows you to create and manage HPC clusters consisting of Windows or Linux compute nodes, part-time servers, workstation computers, and dedicated or on-demand compute resources that are deployed in AWS.
This image contains the Windows Server 20122 operating system with HPC Pack 2019 setup package to create the head node of an HPC Pack 2019 cluster or add additional compute nodes to an existing cluster in AWS. Choose to install using Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Express locally or use an existing SQL DB. We recommend using a VM size with at least 8 vCPUs. If you plan to add cluster compute nodes to the head node, the VM must be created in a AWS virtual network - VPC. Configure the network before creating the VM.
HPC Pack Features Supports Windows & Linux compute nodes Advanced job scheduling and resource management Proved and scale-tested capabilities Easy to extend to hybrid Readily shift existing applications to the cloud Use templates, scripts, and gallery images to deploy on demand Integrate with Active Directory Choose between Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Express or an existing Microsoft SQL Server HPC Pack client utilities pre installed
