Overview
Open-source distributed ledger technology platform Hyperledger Fabric uses permissioned distributed ledger technology (DLT) to provide a number of key advantages over other popular distributed ledger or blockchain platforms. The Hyperledger project is overseen by a diverse technical steering committee, and the Hyperledger Fabric project is maintained by a diverse set of maintainers from multiple organizations. Almost 200 developers have contributed to the project since its earliest commits. It has a development community that has extended beyond 35 organizations. Fabric presents a new architecture for transactions that we name execute-order-validate. It manages the resiliency, scalability, flexibility, performance, and confidentiality challenges. Hyperledger Fabric has been especially architected to include a modular architecture. It proffers the ability to make channels, permitting a group of participants to form a separate ledger of transactions. Ensure complete data isolation between participants. Strict network governance is enabled by the Hyperledger Fabric certificate authority (CA) and channels.
