     Info

    Overview

Grafana Kubernetes Monitoring is an out-of-the-box solution that promptly detects infrastructure issues, optimizes costs & efficiency, predicts resource usage, automates incident management, and adapts to your specific services. It provides:

    1. Full visibility, from Kubernetes clusters to Kubernetes pods to quickly move throughout your Kubernetes setup in a single UI. Start with a cluster view and drill all the way down to specific Kubernetes pods with just a few clicks.
    2. Instant Prometheus-correlated logs. Prometheus and Grafana Loki shared metadata keeps the exact same labels for your Kubernetes cluster, so accessing correlated Kubernetes metrics and logs couldnt be easier.
    3. Better insight into your resource usage. You can dial in on cloud resource usage to optimize efficiency, discover unused and stranded resources, easily determine better pod limits and improved placement, understand your resource management policy imperfections, and decrease your carbon footprint
    4. Cost monitoring. You can gain better insight into your Kubernetes costs, spending trends, and potential savings with the cost monitoring feature, which is based on the open source project Opencost.

    • Amazon EKS
    EKS add-on

An add-on is software that provides supporting operational capabilities to Kubernetes applications but isn't specific to the application. This includes software like observability agents or Kubernetes drivers that allow the cluster to interact with underlying AWS resources for networking, compute, and storage. Add-on software is typically built and maintained by the Kubernetes community, cloud providers like AWS, or third-party vendors. Amazon EKS add-ons provide installation and management of a curated set of add-ons for Amazon EKS clusters. All Amazon EKS add-ons include the latest security patches and bug fixes, and are validated by AWS to work with Amazon EKS. Amazon EKS add-ons allow you to consistently ensure that your Amazon EKS clusters are secure and stable and reduce the amount of work that you need to do to install, configure, and update add-ons.

What do you like best about the product?
I used it to create automated tracking dashboard for satelltie altitude and status.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a bit confusing at the begining since I worked with local CSV as database, but I evantually was able to integrate it into my project after I got some answers from customer suport.

    Best data visualization tool!

    Reviewed on May 30, 2024
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Grafana is very useful for visualizing and analyze vast quantities of data from a simple web interface. Also, it allows to view data in real time with Grafana Live, feature that we use a lot to debug problems in our systems.
It supports many types of data sources, but I think it’s best used with InfluxDB.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not allow you to customize the list of predefined time periods. So every time you need to see a specific interval, you need to input the period of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed us to visualize data from the sensors in our infrastructure in real time

    Easy tool for monitoring

What do you like best about the product?
The notification tool, you can link with slack :D, that's useful if we reconigze the errors in our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
No docs in spanish :c something when you are setting the dashboards should be good have more docs about it or docs about to implement Grafana with languages like JS, I know grafana use influxdb to save the data, but examples of that would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have one place with all relative information, this before use the graphs provided by AWS

Amazingly easy to use and visually appealing

    Reviewed on Mar 31, 2024
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
We are using Grafana to build visualizations for many types of data on our systems. The basic usage is of course DevOps DevOps-related graphs and visuals, but we are also using it to display line of business data dashboards. Grafana is easy to set up, easy to use, and produces high-quality graphs and dashboards. Its ability to connect to multiple data sources is an important feature, as well as the ability to extend it using external plug-ins.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find less appealing is the pricing of the enterprise version and the fact that some important plugins are only available on the enterprise or cloud versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Grafana mostly to build and display visualizations and dashboards of our line of business data. While this is not the common use of Grafna it does the job very well and in many cases better than other tools in the market. We have many kinds of dashboards used by different stakeholders in the company and we are able to use them daily to keep track of our business results.
