S2E’s FinOps service help our client to reduce their Cloud Spending. We use a variety of approaches to support a FinOps practice for clients. As each client starts from a unique position, the below should be considered the starting point for any engagement with likely additions and changes implemented per specific findings and needs.

Assessment: Before implementing a FinOps practice at a large scale, it is important to assess the current state of the customer's AWS environment. Customer spending patterns, resource utilization and cost optimization techniques are reviewed.

Goals and objectives:  Based on the assessment, we will work with you to define goals and objectives for the FinOps practice.

Cost optimization: We implement cost optimization techniques in order to reduce your AWS bill. Setting up Reserved Instances, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing cost allocation tags are some things this may involve.

Monitoring and reporting: S2E sets up a monitoring and reporting system to track the customer's AWS spending. This will help you identify any trends or anomalies with their spending and make informed decisions about their AWS environment.

Automation: Putting in place automated cost reports, alerts, and resource optimization scripts is how we make sure the FinOps practice lasts.

Process improvement: We will also work with you to improve your overall AWS management processes. This include developing best practices for resource deployment, cost allocation, and resource utilization.

Ongoing support: S2E will provide ongoing support to the customer to make sure that their FinOps practice remains effective. Regular check-ins, instruction, and technical help might be involved.
