Connecting to the VM:
To connect to your instance, you will need to use SSH over port 22. The default username for connecting is ec2-user. For further information about the standard AWS method of connecting to an instance, see information described here: https://docs.thinkwithwp.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/AccessingInstances.html
Accessing PostgreSQL
PostgreSQL is installed on this instance. To interact with PostgreSQL and manage your database effectively, you can utilize its powerful command-line tools. For instance, to check the version of PostgreSQL you're running, simply open your terminal and enter psql --version; this command quickly displays the current version, ensuring you're up-to-date with the latest features and security updates. When you're ready to start a new database, use the command createdb , replacing with your desired name for the database, to effortlessly create a new database instance, laying the foundation for your data storage and management tasks.
