Windows Server 2019 is the ninth version of the Windows Server operating system by Microsoft, as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. It is the second version of the server operating system based on the Windows 10 platform, after Windows Server 2016. It was announced on March 20, 2018 for the first Windows Insider preview release, and was released internationally on October 2, 2018. It was succeeded by Windows Server 2022 on August 18, 2021

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Connect using Remote Desktop Client to start using this Windows 2019 Server
Windows includes an RDP client by default. To verify, type mstsc at a Command Prompt window. For Mac OS X Download the Microsoft Remote Desktop app from the Mac App Store For Linux Use Remmina.
To connect to a Windows instance, you must retrieve the initial administrator password and then enter this password when you connect to your instance using Remote Desktop. It takes a few minutes after instance launch before this password is available.

If you need to connect to your instance in order to troubleshoot boot, network configuration, and other issues for instances built on the AWS Nitro System, you can use the EC2 Serial Console for Windows instances.
Navigate to your Amazon EC2 console and verify that you're in the correct region. Choose Instance and select your launched instance.
Select the server to display your metadata page and choose the Status checks tab at the bottom of the page to review if your status checks passed or failed. Or

The operating system does not save any sensitive information for the customers. The customer is responsible for saving any information, sensitive or not. The data saved on the volumes is not encrypted by default.
All instance authentication must use key pair access, not password-based authentication. AMIs does not contain passwords, authentication keys, key pairs, security keys, or other credentials.
