    Overview

    The Diamond IP Sapphire v20 appliance from BT provides superior performance, reliability and security with the convenience of pre-packaged DHCP/DNS/IPAM (DDI) appliances. The Sapphire v20 can be configured and managed using your BT IPControl implementation to extend your DNS/IPAM capabilities to AWS. Sapphire appliances are built from the ground up for security and robustness. Our appliances offer numerous security features including a hardened operating system (OS), network interface access control lists (ACLs), minimal open ports, uninterruptible boot process, jailed file system, and rate limiting to mitigate denial of service (DOS) attacks, DNSSEC validation, DNS firewall, and DNS response rate limiting, to name a few.

    Pricing and entitlements for this product are managed outside of AWS Marketplace through an external billing relationship between you and the vendor. You activate the product by supplying an existing license purchased outside of AWS Marketplace, while AWS provides the infrastructure required to launch the product. Subscriptions have no end date and may be cancelled any time. However, the cancellation won't affect the status of an active license if it was purchased outside of AWS Marketplace.

    Usage instructions

    Once you launch your instance, ssh to the instance as appadmin using the key you specified during launch. To access the instance, you will need to have either a VPN configured for the VPC that the instance resides in or an elastic IP that points to the instance. Once you configure the instance, it will reboot and you may login via incadmin or appadmin with the public key.
