Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for support with technical support and maintenance by Hanwei. RethinkDB is an open-source, distributed document-oriented database built to store JSON documents and facilitate real-time web applications. It provides a new database access model, whereby the developer can subscribe to live query results, and the database pushes updated query results to applications in real time. With an emphasis on developer experience, RethinkDB offers a rich set of features such as an expressive query language, called ReQL, which supports chainable queries, and it integrates well with existing web technologies. Its architecture allows for horizontal scalability, and it includes features like table joins, groupings, aggregations, and atomic updates. The database is designed to be easy to set up and learn, making real-time data processing more accessible to developers.
