Enterprise level SQL server for any corporate environment

What do you like best about the product?
Microsoft SQL Server 2017 is our primary warehouse RDBMS database for all our needs. We like that deploying and migrating current and existing databases from previous versions was easy. Ability to configure database backups and manage all our servers from a single console, including user management, schema assignments, and security. Built-in SQL query tools simplify working with and executing queries. Records retrieving is relatively easy and sometimes runs pretty well and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
The overall subscription cost for running this SQL software is a little bit more on the expensive side. (Hey, thats Microsoft :) ) Other less costly and even freeware RDBMs solutions could run just fine if the price is of concern. The maximum memory utilized per instance is only 64GB. That could be a problem if you are running bigger databases and more memory-intensive workloads.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily use Microsoft SQL Server as a database storage for all our GIS maps and several proprietary on-prem finance solutions that require integration with Microsoft Active Directory and Java. Microsoft SQL server solves these problems for us. It was ease to deploy and integrate. Another added benefit was ease of handling database backups on log rotations.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Microsoft SQL server for a while and I find it to be much more user-friendly than it's counterparts. The User Experience has been good so far. It was much easier to navigate through than other SQL services.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be multiple improvements made to make it better. Currently, there are many features lacking like writing procedures and functions. There is also the issue of platform dependency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Microsoft SQL Server is helping me navigate the daily database usage as many organizations out there are using it. With some improvements, it can really be an excellent product.
