Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

    Thank you for using Classmethod Jenkins AMI. This AMI is based on Ubuntu.

    1. Jenkins can be accessed at (http://{your-jenkins-address}:8080). Upon access, you will see the Jenkins setup wizard page.
    2. You can find Jenkins initial password from EC2 management console System Log. Go to Amazon EC2 console, chose your Instance and Click Actions - Instance Settings - Get System log
    3. Input initial password and click 'Continue'. You will be taken to a plugin selection page.
    4. Click 'Install suggested plugins', and Jenkins will automatically install recommended plugins. This may take a few minutes.
    5. Once plugin installation is done, setup wizard will ask you to create admin user. Specify your admin account detail, and click 'Save and Continue'.
    6. If you have setup specific domain and fixed IP address for Jenkins, you can setup Jenkins URL here. If not, you can proceed with default URL. NOTES: This default address is AWS assigned automatically. AWS will release this public IP address when the instance is stopped or terminated.
    7. Finally, Jenkins is ready. Click 'Start using Jenkins'.
