    Capable of running big retail application on Cassandra over on Ubuntu Systems.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Cassandra is running pretty smoothly over on Ubuntu 20, it is running world class retail applications. We are running the different retail required databases on Cassandra database, and on underlay it is using Ubuntu OS.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Ubuntu unattended upgrades has caused the problems in past twice, which changed the dhclient, which ultimately removed the dhcp config from the clients and caused the very big outage.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Using it for our very big retail enterprise, we are maintaining different kind of databases in Cassandra which supports running of our customer facing application really smoothly. It has running on our cloud platform pretty smoothly on Azure and GCP.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Quick schema evolution is one of the best thing in Cassandra.
    Learning curve is not that huge.
    SQL query interface on top of document based database is awesome, with SQL background you can starting working with it in no time
    What do you dislike about the product?
    We are using Cassandra as main storage unit in production, we are seeing lot of issues which retrieving the data. Utilize the TTL functionality to ensure data expiry after certain time
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    We are using it for massive read operation, it was working wonderful till the time we were using enterprise edition supported by datastax, but after moving to community edition we are seeing slowness in querying.

    Easier to install and very convenient to use work the command line interface tool cql.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Debugging issue or cassandra process getting killed abruptly was one concern
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    It's best for local development and helps inhouse dev environment setup
    Recommendations to others considering the product:
    There are multiple options out there like installing with docker but inhouse installation gives better control and requires lesser efforts in installation
