How does Oracle Database@AWS work?
Oracle Database@AWS allows customers to migrate and deploy Oracle Database workloads, including Oracle Exadata workloads, on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) running inside AWS data centers. This provides customers a low-latency network connection between Oracle Database capabilities and AWS services. Each OCI availability domain is mapped to a unique AWS Availability Zone within an AWS Region. Not every deployment will have multiple OCI availability domains.

No, Oracle Database@AWS will not support zero-ETL integrations in limited preview.

What versions and generations does Oracle Database@AWS support?
Oracle Database@AWS maintains feature and list price parity between services offered on Oracle Database@AWS and OCI. Therefore, any database version currently supported and available on OCI is also available on Oracle Database@AWS. Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure is currently available on Exadata Database Machine X9M.

Does Oracle Database@AWS support existing Oracle Database licenses?
Yes, with Oracle Database@AWS, you can use existing Oracle Database licenses through the Oracle Bring Your Own License (BYOL) program, which includes any valid, supported Oracle Database licenses. Oracle Database licenses supported via a third-party support organization are not eligible for the BYOL program. If you do not have existing Oracle Database licenses or do not have enough, the licenses may be purchased via the License Included billing model available with Oracle Database@AWS.

Will Oracle Database@AWS purchases contribute to existing Oracle, OCI, or AWS commitments or contracts?
You can use Oracle Database@AWS toward your AWS commitments. However, Oracle Database@AWS spend does not count toward existing Oracle or OCI contracts or commitments.

Yes, Oracle Database@AWS accrues the same Oracle Support Rewards as using OCI directly.
