AWS Private CA customers

We were looking for a simple and scalable way to manage certificates for our corporate infrastructure. AWS Private CA and the Connector for SCEP made it incredibly easy to set up and integrate with our MDM solutions. We can now provision and manage certificates at scale without the hassle of operating our own PKI infrastructure. The high availability and durability of AWS Private CA, combined with its low cost, make it a compelling solution for our organization.

Using AWS Private CA, we can issue Matter-compliant DACs to ourselves and other manufacturers, realizing seamless connectivity and interoperability for different smart home devices at low cost. Through collaboration with Amazon Web Services, we are able to not only produce more secure and stable smart home products, but also provide better and more reliable smart home services to our global users.

Having a highly available and durable private certificate authority powered by AWS’s global infrastructure ensures Arctic Wolf’s mission-critical applications always have access to trusted certificates.

We chose AWS Private CA and AWS KMS to build our mobile driver’s license (mDL) Issuing Authority because these services meet the cryptographic requirements of the ISO/IEC 18013-5 specification. With AWS Private CA, we can easily create and manage our own private CAs without the need for external CAs. This allows us to issue, rotate, and revoke certificates that are trusted within our organization, ensuring the integrity and security of our mDL issuance process.

Espressif’s Matter Pre-Provisioning Service reduces complexity in the manufacturing of Matter-compatible devices by providing chips and modules that are securely pre-provisioned with certificates. We chose AWS Private CA to build a cloud-based CA as part of our module pre-provisioning service as it is a comprehensive CA service that meets the Matter PKI Certificate Policy requirements. AWS Private CA allowed us to build the service without worrying about scalability, security, or evolving certificate management requirements of Matter protocol.

We at PingCAP chose AWS Private CA because of its ability to customize private certificate templates to comply with our unique organizational policies making governance and auditing so much easier. By using customizable private certificates, we can set the validity of our certificates to what we want and support identities for computers, web services, containers, users, IoT devices, and more.
