Learn to build machine learning models and generative AI applications using new AWS courses
The publicity about generative artificial intelligence (AI) has created both excitement and apprehension.
According to a collaborative study between Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Access Partnership, 49% of the employers and employees believe that AI could boost overall productivity. 93% of the employers expect to use generative AI in the next five years. However, 75% of the employers are unable to find the talent they need. They realize that the AI skills gap can only be addressed through training and education programs.
To meet the generative AI training needs, AWS Training and Certification has launched courses focused on the decision maker, data scientist, and the developer personas.
Generative AI training for decision makers
It’s important for business decision makers to understand the potential of generative AI so that they can make informed decisions. Generative AI can play a role in improving customer experience and in reducing the cost of operations. Decision makers interested in learning more about generative AI can enroll in the 90-minute Generative AI Learning Plan for Decision Makers. This learning plan consists of three courses: Introduction to Generative AI – Art of the Possible, Planning a Generative AI Project, and Building a Generative AI-Ready Organization. Or, if you have only 10 minutes to spare, you can watch the Generative AI for Executives video introduction. Then, dive into this ebook to learn more about generative AI, how you can apply it, and what skills your organization needs to deliver business results.
Innovate with AWS generative AI services
AWS services can be used to implement generative AI solutions across the entire AI, machine learning (ML) stack. This includes the infrastructure, the choice of foundation models (FM), and the APIs to access the FMs to build solutions. For example, the model builders can leverage the purpose-built compute infrastructure for high-performance, cost-effective training of language models. Model consumers can use Amazon Bedrock along with other AWS services to build AI applications. The model builders and the model consumers can deploy their solutions on purpose-built compute infrastructure for high-performance and cost-effective inference.
Generative AI training for technical learners
Our training is aligned to meet the needs of both model builders and model consumers.
Data scientists and ML Engineers work together to build generative AI and ML models. These roles will benefit from the Amazon SageMaker Studio for Data Scientists course and the Building Language Models on AWS course. The advanced, instructor-led Amazon SageMaker Studio for Data Scientists course dives deep into SageMaker Studio using 10, hands-on-keyboard labs. The advanced, self-paced, Building Language Models on AWS course explores storage and ingestion strategies, distributed training, customizing open source models, and the approaches to deploying large language models on AWS.
If you are a data or a statistical analyst, you can enroll in the self-paced Low-code Machine Learning on AWS course to generate candidate ML models for data scientists’ consideration. You will learn to prepare data, train, and deploy machine learning (ML) models with minimal coding.
Application developers with intermediate to advanced-level proficiency in Python programming can upskill to build generative AI applications. To do so, you can enroll in the Generative AI Learning Plan for Developers. The developer learning plan consists of five courses: Introduction to Generative AI – Art of the Possible, Planning a Generative AI Project, Amazon Bedrock Getting Started (fundamental), Foundations of Prompt Engineering (intermediate), and Building Generative AI Applications using Amazon Bedrock (advanced).
If your use case is specific to document processing, consider the courses in the Machine Learning Learning Plan – Intelligent Document Processing. The courses in the AI Language Service Learning Plan are appropriate if you plan to use Amazon Kendra, Amazon Lex, or Amazon Transcribe to build virtual contact center agents and conversational solutions.
