Skillshare is the largest global online learning community for creativity. They offer thousands of inspiring classes for creative and curious people on topics including illustration, design, photography, video, freelancing, and more. Skillshare wanted their members to easily discover relevant content with a seamless discovery process of personalized recommendations. Skillshare decided to test Amazon Personalize from AWS to make these data-fueled recommendations for members with machine learning. This blog post describes their Amazon Personalize solution architecture, their AWS Step Functions process, and the results of their experiment.

Education technology (EdTech) company GoGuardian announces the availability of a Go Client library for Amazon Kinesis Data Streams via open source. Go is a widely used language among developers for streaming applications that was previously not available for Amazon Kinesis Data Streams (Amazon KDS).

These solutions can be beneficial for both patients and care providers, letting patients receive care without having to step into a doctor’s office—a key feature that has benefits for those in hard-to-reach or rural areas and patients with mobility issues. Additionally, these solutions can help reduce physical traffic in hospitals, which is imperative during the pandemic. Customers around the globe share how building on AWS, helps them scale, innovate, and operate at scale to improve the patient and care provider experience.
