Quickly Achieve Full IT Operations in the Cloud
With defense agencies looking to quickly migrate legacy applications to a government-approved, commercial cloud environment of their choice, the Department of Defense (DoD) has entered into an agreement with REAN Cloud to provide a new streamlined and consultative process to procure cloud solutions.
The agreement represents a groundbreaking model that automates pricing and procurement so that government customers can quickly achieve full IT operations in the cloud. In submitting a task order, the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) will be the first agency to work with REAN Cloud through this contract vehicle, having access to a variety of cloud providers and services to meet their mission-critical needs.
“We are excited to collaborate with REAN Cloud so that government agencies can take advantage of the agility and innovation that the commercial cloud provides,” said Teresa Carlson, Vice President, Worldwide Public Sector at AWS. “AWS was honored to be part of the USTRANSCOM cloud migration project, and we look forward to working with REAN Cloud and our network of partners to support our warfighters and make DoD’s journey to the cloud a reality.”
REAN Cloud worked with the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx), an organization charged with accelerating commercial innovation for national defense, to facilitate procurement of the full range of cloud adoption requirements, from Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to application assessments, migrations, operations and more.
With their deep expertise on AWS, AWS Partner Network (APN) Partners, like REAN Cloud, are uniquely positioned to help enable mission outcomes and accelerate innovation for government agencies at any stage of the cloud adoption journey.

By focusing on the outcome, they are able to help customers meet their goals much more quickly.
Through the APN, the DoD has access to an unmatched catalog of services and solutions of more than tens of thousands of partners, as well as a larger, more mature community of service providers, software developers, software solutions, and systems integrators.
