How to: Dolby Atmos Live streaming using AWS Elemental and AWS Media Services
It’s the right time to get immersive. Dolby Atmos was first released in 2012 with the animated movie “Brave”. Since then, more than 950 movies, TV shows and Live events have been created using Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos audio is now distributed globally via broadcasts such as: SkyUK, Xfinity (Comcast); BT for top tier sporting events and HBO for series like ‘Game of Thrones’ which was the first television show mixed in Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos audio is supported via streaming services such as Tilda, Amazon Music HD, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Disney, Netflix and supported in more than 1200 compatible hardware devices such as: Amazon Echo Studio, soundbars, AVRs, mobile phones/tablets and many TVs.
Given the proliferation of Dolby Atmos audio, this post helps users create and configure Dolby Atmos workflows and troubleshoot while validating AWS Elemental Live with AWS Media Services.

Introduction to Dolby Atmos:
Dolby Atmos is a 3D immersive audio experience that combines channel-based and object-based audio while adding ‘height’ speakers along with the traditional 2D speakers layout. The benefits of using object-based audio are:
