Alex Lemm leads Medical Imaging Business Development for AWS in EMEA, focusing on accelerating the cloud adoption and expansion of health techs. He works closely with global healthcare ISVs, regional imaging vendors, and hospital providers to define and execute cloud migration strategies while driving the adoption of AWS's healthcare-specific services like AWS HealthImaging. Alex spearheads strategic co-innovation projects with partners to create reference architectures for next-generation imaging solutions and contributes to AWS's thought leadership in medical imaging through speaking engagements at major healthcare conferences.

Razvan Ionasec

Razvan Ionasec

Razvan Ionasec, PhD, MBA, is the technical leader for healthcare at Amazon Web Services in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. His work focuses on helping healthcare customers solve business problems by leveraging technology. Previously, Razvan was the global head of artificial intelligence products at Siemens Healthineers in charge of AI-Rad Companion, the family of AI-powered and cloud-based digital health solutions for imaging. He holds 30+ patents in AI/ML for medical imaging and has published 70+ international peer-reviewed technical and clinical publications on computer vision, computational modelling, and medical image analysis. Razvan received his PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University Munich and MBA from University of Cambridge, Judge Business School.

Dr. Rowland Illing

Dr. Rowland Illing

Dr. Rowland Illing serves as Chief Medical Officer and Director of Healthcare and Life Sciences for Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, he oversees strategy and engagement for healthcare customers worldwide, encompassing providers, payors, and health technology companies. His work centers on leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence to drive innovation in health equity and sustainability, while also enabling healthcare organizations to optimize their data utilization for improved efficiency and patient outcomes. An Academic Interventional Radiologist by training, Dr. Illing was previously Director of the Interventional Oncology Service at University College Hospitals London. He holds positions as Honorary Associate Professor at University College London and Visiting Professor of Informatics and Imaging at Oxford University. His professional affiliations include membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of England, fellowship in the Royal College of Radiologists, senior fellowship in the UK’s Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, and membership in the Leadership Consortium of the US National Academy of Medicine. Dr. Illing maintains an active presence in academia through ongoing presentations and publications in the field.
